Under the Election Act, political parties are eligible for annual allowances if they receive at least 2% of the votes in the last election, or at least 5% of the votes in the districts where they ran candidates. We've calculated allowances for 2025 (1/2):

Annual allowances for 2025 were calculated using the results of the 2024 BC election and changes to the consumer price index. Eligible parties receive $1.85 per valid vote. We have issued the first of two payments to eligible parties for 2025. Learn more:
