The overdraft fee example gutted me. I haven't made min wage for 15 yrs, but I remember the stress of trying to "float" a grocery charge the day before payday and getting 2 or 3 overdraft charges on $5 purchases b/c the bank ran largest charge first+all charges before deposits.

Arapahoe county is facing record high numbers of evictions. That means people who fall on hard times get locked into cycles that make them poorer & less likely to be able to secure housing. Right to counsel for evictions is honestly a moderate solution under these circumstances.
Likely result here? A default judgement, an eviction, and a severely damaged credit score. People are priced out of justice every day in this country.
