In 2018 we passed a lot of bills in the D House knowing they would die in the R Senate, but we prepared real policy so we’d be ready to make them serious law if we won the Senate in that year’s election (we did and we did).

@MikeFromCo You’re right. Having a billionaire try to go around the current will of the legislature because he or she can’t get what they want out of it is completely far-fetched. Could never happen here.

This is a hard time for a lot of people to believe in the future of the Democratic Party. Most of them don’t live in Broomfield. We just elected my friend Sasha Davis as our new chair, and the future couldn’t be brighter.

This is the most important Black History Month of my lifetime. Make it more than days on a calendar, but an active mourning for the injustices past and present and an active celebration of black excellence past and present. Here’s a great place to start.
