If thereโs been one constant in my life, itโs every generation containing people genuinely convinced that music will never be as good as when they were teenagers. Since the sole purpose of music is enjoyment, and enjoyment is 100% subjective, comparisons are futile anyway.

If you were shown that level of disrespect by strangers day in and day out whilst doing your job, youโre saying that wouldnโt irritate you the slightest bit? Try messing around with the US presidentโs bodyguards when theyโre doing a security sweep and see how it works out.
@ZacGoldsmith
Apologies now are meaningless and cynical damage limitation. Everyone at that party has had months to come forward and blow the whistle if they were genuinely remorseful โ but itโs only once theyโre caught that we hear how โsorryโ they are. Yes, theyโre a sorry lot, all right.
@theJeremyVine
Van driver attempts to drive down a cycle lane and then, having realised the mistake, *blindly* reverses into an active lane of traffic, colliding with a cyclist in the process. Still some defend him. What does a driver have to do for everyone to agree they did something wrong?!

Not sure how being over-engineered is much of a flaw. They add almost nothing to the BOM of your average appliance, and theyโre really sturdy. Better over- than under-engineered where safety critical systems are concerned.

Why is there so much argument about the answer?! Multiplication and division bind tighter than addition and subtraction. The order of addition and subtraction is irrelevant because subtraction is just the addition of the negation of the value. The answer is -13.

Ukraine is a sovereign independent state and as such can choose any and all trade agreements, treaties and alliances it pleases. Russia is free to do the same โ if it wanted security, it could have formed a mutual defense treaty with China, say. But it chose to invade instead.

The history is simple.
1. Ukraine achieves independence in 1991, backed by 92% of population in a referendum.

3. Russia attempts to expand its illegal occupation in early 2022, such is still ongoing.

Lots of people saying the car had room to overtake if Jeremy hadnโt moved out: this is quite wrong, drivers are expected to overtake a cyclist giving the same space as if they were a car (rule 163) and clearly this is not possible where the road is narrow.
