Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence (Carl Sagan) - The Trans Lobby leads with 'no debate'. Let's put its claims to the test of common sense.
We are told by
#trans
lobby that kids can experiment with gender by changing clothes. Question - Can you experiment with sky diving by trying on a parachute? Each transition step is reinforcement not experimentation.
@TransHomophobes
As a heterosexual - I have this ridiculous notion that a woman can withdraw consent at ANY time - even mid act. Who would want to have sex with someone who is unwilling - oh yes I remember now - a rapist.
@sacha_coward
That's a lie. The stat is reports - not actual crimes. Most of the increase is likely to be India Willoughby complaining about JK Rowling.
@DreyfusJames
@mcashmanCBE
Sadly Cashman is now interested only in likes and profile. Just saw him claim that HE co-founded Stonewall with McKellen. No mention of the others - like Fanshawe and Parris (now apostates). Every cause starts as a movement - becomes a business and ends as a racket - Eric Hoffer.
@MitchBenn
That was before we realised you were in favour of medicalising kids and destroying women's sport. The failure to see a causal link that is so obvious is sinister
@PennyRed
Total distortion of the truth - SEEN is reminding publishers that excluding Gender Critical content is censorship. You are literally saying that those who oppose censorship are censoring those who approve of censorship.
@AdamRamsay
Hilarious - there is a huge difference between lockdown and closing the front door as COVID taught us all. Wadwha is a bigot - a misogynist and a man. Indefensible
@sappholives83
Before I took an interest in the trans debate - I regret that I was in the notallmen camp. Now I understand there is no equivalence here - I had no concept of the perceived and real threat posed by men. And I don't take women articulating that as a personal slight.
@JujuliaGrace
I watched my wife die in the care of the NHS - and every day I was utterly appalled at the waste, inefficiency and lack of organisation. Doctors treated and expecting to be treated as higher order beings - your complacency is actually quite vile.
@Glinner
It's a strange phenomenon of the TRA cult - they are outraged at people assuming gender - unless they are retrospectively claiming brave women as non-binary. Could Joan of Arc or Boudicca have been fabulously brave women? No. Apparently must have been NB
@vermiliongs
This is the second post in a row where I was totally confident the poster was a parody account - until I saw the bio. Still not sure as it is so full of cliches and groupthink it has to be taking the piss
@KimJonesICONS
“The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
Orwell - 1984.
This could be a turning point - people with no prior awareness of the issue can finally see the implications of failing to protect female sport.
@Rummlie
Support for survivors of rape was doing just fine until Wadhwa started turning them away if they didn't sign on to his cult. Easy fix - He resigns and they appoint someone who puts the needs of women first
@baratheongirl
Logic squarely on a par with - my friend died in a car crash whilst wearing a seat belt - so there is no point in wearing one.... Do better
@SVPhillimore
Inadvertantly demonstrating all that is wrong with trans ideology - 'we make the rules - we don't have to justify ourselves and our claims are not subject to rational enquiry;'
@legaltweetz
Her family asked her not to put her head above the parapet because of the disgusting abuse she would get. No evidence that she is estranged from family. Quit with the vengeful wishful thinking.
@RayAlexWilliams
Gender clinics do not follow up their failures - the stats are tainted by a form of survivorship bias. You can't express regret if you are not asked.
@rightsandroses
That would be - every trans person except all the adolescent girls and young women suddenly deciding they are trans having shown no indication beforehand - or the 45 year old blokes who suddenly leave their families announcing they want to be called Susan
@KatyMontgomerie
Is this serious? I know your lot believe puberty blockers are no more significant than aspirin but comparing ventolin with hormone therapy is ludicrous.
@SheaChristie3
@DreyfusJames
Another in the series - "he said one thing but let's pretend he said something else". Nowhere does he say you made "us" do anything. Trans activists are aggressive in their demands and cry foul at any resistance, that's it. The term for that is crybully.
@PompeySteph
Well - first they came for the kids (medicalising confused kids who don't fit the blue for boys, pink for girls stereotype) then they came for women's sport (now open to mediocre men). What you're seeing is people saying - enough?
@LauraBeckerReal
It's the most extraordinary defence - no other profession is entitled to dismiss it's "clients" with - "I just gave you what you asked for - not my job to tell you what you might need".
@stephenwhittle
Seriously? You think GCs are motivated bt JEALOUSY. Your whole schtick is based on "don't tell me who I am or how I feel" then come out with this drivel. It's the unnecessary medicalisation of kids and the destruction of women's sports and spaces that's the issue.
@CEJacksonLaw
Listen to the pleas to be kind to boys like this - to be understanding. It's a one way street - they feel no obligation to reciprocate - and that's the heart of the problem. It is narcissism and a desperate bid for validation
@tomcoates
There are legal rights and moral rights. No idea about the law tbh - but as straight man I don't think I have the moral right and in days gone by I'd expect a woman to call the cops if I was there and they felt threatened.
@ThomasWillett9
Literally no comparison - kids with PP take them for a short time, usually stop by age 12 - then go through NATURAL puberty. Your ignorance is frankly spectacular and you're proud of it.
@sappholives83
It's easy to understand. I am no threat to anyone but would cross the street or hang back to avoid appearing to follow a woman. It's the fundamental flaw in trans ideology - if born a man it is impossible to know what it is to be a woman
@mysteriouskat
I live in France - i think it's a little more complicated than that. Bragging about wealth, being showy is utterly unacceptable - but subtly conveying it by means of dress, serving exquisite wine and food and bahaving in a manner learned from expensive education is admired
@salltweets
It's called a legal FICTION - companies are people for certain purposes - it doesn't make them people. A certificate doesn't turn a man into a woman
@issy4nwessex
Oh I read it was 112%...... Either post your source or don't bother. Baseless surveys allowing people to make unverified claims and respond mulitiple times are the source of almost all trans stats.
@AriDrennen
Or to be more accurate - a trans activist is doing a Go Fund Me - by CLAIMING it happened - with ZERO evidence. Stop telling kids they will kill themselves if they don't transition
@SomeLatinWord
"Garbage book"? I am told by her fans that Tilly enjoyed the books - her reaction was to a tweet she spotted - but you decided it was a garbage book with hateful content.... Oh dear. PS Waterstone's didn't side with Dalcher as the author made no complaint.
@cmclymer
Agree 100% - funnily enough I do the same when I enter new countries - I abide by local law and custom regardless of how strange it might seem. I wonder if there's a correlation ) if you can't respect their wishes, don't go
@roseveniceallan
@YvetteCooperMP
Far more likely - it will be used to stamp out dissent vs gender ideology. You know the script - man can be woman and if you disagree - the man who is now a woman is upset. Voila - misogyny. It's the modern version of the disappearing women trick
@MichaelBaggs
While you are doing your little jig of joy - did you know that filing a complaint with a French prosecutor roughly equates to a complaint to the police. The prosecutor now has to decide - was it a crime under French law and do they have jurisdiction? This is a PR stunt
@benryanwriter
The Yale published study includes as authors - Olson Kennedy who advised teens who regret mastectomies to buy a new pair. Jack Turban who is frankly a standing joke with pseudoscience. And Pang - another trans advocate...
@mushycrouton
It's not a bad faith question - if you were willing to listen you'd realise the amount of opposition there is to your stance. Misgendering is not a crime - and if you set the bar that low for transphobia - support will continue to ebb away.
@SheaChristie3
@Waterstones
@WstonesHelp
@TillyLovesBooks
This is breath taking pomposity. There is legal remedy if the dismissal was unfair - that's available to her as it is to anyone else. No company will 'engage' with self appointed champions of an ex employee - neither should they
@itsafrogslife
Not a race - but people routinely brag about where they finished and best times. I'm guessing you were picked last when you were a kid - you seem to have no idea of what sport is.
@arkangeljoy
I genuinely love your answer - it shows just how narcissistic and irrational TRAs can be. She fought WOMEN previously - she expected to be drawn against a WOMAN. Your failure to understand is another nail in the TRA coffin.
@ThomasWillett9
What's your strategy Thomas? Just for likes from those already on your side? You convince no-one and next time you see a collapse in support for LGBTQ+ - take your share of the responsibility because you come across as a puerile nasty little man - nothing to offer but abuse.
@ShereleMoody
The fact that you have to add - grew up as and lived as -is telling. The only relevent factor is birth. In this case probably a DSD male. Read about John Money and his victim - Bruce Reimer. Bruce was brought up and lived as a girl - factors proved to be tragically irrelevent.
@monaeltahawy
It's a common flaw in the logic of trans activists - a total failure to understand cause and effect. The boxer has complained to the French authorities - you assume JKR is cowed. Remember how she responded to Willoughby and Scottish Hate Crime Act? She's on holiday - patience.
@ThomasWillett9
You are literally acknowledging the conflict here and implicitly demanding that women's right be reduced. It is right that they should remain the same - give me one damn reason why they should be compromised. Thanks for the unwitting truth.
@JolyonMaugham
By definition NOT a whistleblower - or they would have blown the whistle. Telling you DOES NOT represent whistleblowing - get this out there or drop it. Your limited credibility is at stake.
@Paul_Ilett
Absolutely - they must be allowed to bully women without fear of consequences. Love the post - you'll get likes from the converted and another whole bunch of the undecided will see you for what you are - misgynists. Trans activists destroying their own case - one tweet at a time
@GeorgeAylett
He would have been a fabulous PM if he'd delivered all that - merely wanting is a different matter. He could have forced a second Brexit vote but he didn't - why was that?
@thelgbgroup
I'm genuinely sorry. I'm old enough to remember terrible bigotry vs gay people - it seemed that battle was won. Nobody I know bats an eye lid at gay couples now. BUT there is huge concern at the TQ disregard for women's rights. Everyone has a school sports story now
@KirstieMAllsopp
In what way did she target you? You have dived into this debate and people, including JKR think you are and have been wrong on a number of points. You are now contributing to toxicity by claiming it's about her rather than your own comments. Take responsibility;
@HazelAppleyard_
Trauma treatment demands that you come to terms with your issues and overcome them - NOT avoid the triggers. If the validation of strangers is required to stop you killing yourself - treat the underlying fragility.
@stephenwhittle
@ErinInTheMorn
And Erin Reed's response is a well drafted example of the art. Politics disguised as science. Cass couldn't be objective because of Graham Linehan - seriously?
@billybragg
Another swing and a miss. The case had nothing to do with the key issues of female spaces and medicalising kids. It was about Stonewall's abuse of power. Try to keep up
@jk_rowling
Exactly - he said what you said. Staggering that people can't see it.
Tennant - as long as there's no harm
Us - Well here's the list of harms....
Tennant exits stage right.
@rules_of_izzy
@Docstockk
And the award for the least self aware trans post of.... all time goes to....you. Do you unequivocally condemn people whose relationships break down and discover something new about their sexuality? Might have missed a few memoes from Head Office methinks
@peterjukes
Amusing that your bio describes you as a dramatist - oooh it's thé far right, oooh they want to end women's reproductive rights; Drama indeed. They want an end to medicalising confused kids and protected spaces for women - that's it.
@DadTrans
The famous Dutch Protocol is often traduced by the trans community - Dr Steensma was the lead clinician - now spends half his time correcting lies about the study. It applied to people with LONG TERM dysphoria and NO OTHER psyche issues. TOTALLY UNLIKE most current transitioners
@BenRothenberg
"more transphobic vitriol than just discussing sports fairness" - so you think discussing fairness IS transphobic. Or are you just quite bad at writing English?
@KirstyJenn76738
@gldivittorio
I didn't post for applause - the initial post was unremittngly negative, it's not inevitable that partners leave. That's it.
@secondshelfbks
Tilly was not a bookseller - she was the employee of one. She can have whatever opinion she likes - but ranting at authors is unprofessionaL
@mena_ishere
Khelif will hopefully go down as one of two people who made the world say - enough is enough. The world is not a better place for women when their sports are being decimated and crowds cheer at the sight of a man punching a woman
@SophieMolly_SG
Utterly missing the point as usual - and bizarrely trying to make it about YOU... again.
The problem with ERCC is it is run by someone who thinks therapy is political and denies women the care they ask for. It's not complicated. Your spelling is improving though
