"(Those abused)..live with a sense of injustice, lack of closure, unfinished business, unfairness, and loss" And "forgiveness" isn't the panacea most in faith communities believe it is. Perpetrators saying "I'm sorry" doesn't = justice or closure. Crimes must have consequences.

Every time I hear someone claim that the church doesn’t have a sexual abuse crisis, I wonder, “How do they define ‘crisis’?” Even one child being sexually abused in the church is an absolute catastrophe. So, what’s a ‘crisis’? How many children are an acceptable loss to them?

The @DioLafayetteLA has been mad since day one. Mad that we stood up to fight against one of their own who worked in the Chancery. Mad that the criminal courts couldn’t be manipulated, and that they failed in civil court.
