Some aerial imagery from the Elkhorn and Minden tornadoes last Friday shows dozens, if not hundreds, of swept away homes for miles.
The only caveat?
Not a single one was anchored to its foundation. All these slabs you see are simply homes sliding off the base underneath.

Wow! Check out this never before seen raw radar data from the 2021 Tri-State Tornado (precursor to Mayfield) taken from a tugboat's marine radar system.
This data is taken using an X-Band system which is actually HIGHER quality than a Doppler On Wheels radar (S-Band).

Enhancing the funnel at the bottom, I see a couple of artifacts, namely two ghost powerlines (probably from the clone stamp tool) and a bush under the funnel slowly fading away.
You can also see some pixels unnaturally stretching, likely liquify or transform tool.

This was a mobile home where a critical injury occurred from an unwarned tornado in Prospect, TN.
This is the same tornado that has caused a huge debate because it was "not that big of a deal" that it went unwarned. Critical Injuries are life-changing. This is serious.

Something worth pointing out: cycloidal marks do not always mean a tornado is “violent”. In fact, I’ve seen multiple EF1/2 tornadoes with these.
It all depends on the soil, vortex, and moisture of the ground. We should probably stop associating cycloidal marks with intensity.

Check out this 3D Imagery of Mayfield right after the December 10th, 2021 Tornado. These photoscans have an insane amount of detail and allow you to view the damage from every angle.
This tech could be a viable option for the future of damage surveys for long-tracked tornadoes!

By the way, both of these surveys were heavily assisted by aerial imagery. I can’t stress enough how beneficial drones, UAV’s or companies that provide satellite data would be for the NWS. It would most likely save money time and effort.
If all NWS offices rated tornadoes as thoroughly as NWS Jackson and NWS Norman, people would never have a signal reason for an argument on why the tornado wasn't rated higher.

On April 5, 2022. A Strong EF3 tornado hit Ulmer, SC. While hitting little structures, the tornado exhibited extreme vortex behavior. In one area, as the core of the tornado collapsed and re-formed, a thin and extreme core formed which scoured the ground and turned trees to mulch

Love them or hate them, people like Ryan Hall and Max Velocity are the direct future of weather media. Broadcast television is on it's death bed, and it's not like they do a good job at it anyways.

I’ve rewatched the Twisters trailer multiple times trying to find the issue with it. There’s like 5 seconds of underpass scene and it’s obviously for exposition. The tornadoes look incredibly true to life for cgi and the plot looks great. Feel like people just love to complain
