As someone who underwent Infy Mysore training back in the day, let me add some context: The trainees are not laid off wantonly. This is a normal practice of Infy to terminate the employment if the trainee fails all the assessments. Mind you they give plenty of chances to clear the assessments. This is very clearly mentioned in the offer letter and service agreement and also highlighted during induction. This is one of the rare times I am siding with Infy as this isn’t something which can be classified as misleading or a bad practice. The employee knows what they’re getting into from day 1.

@_swanand @shantanugoel @reemaabajaj Did the same thing back in my consulting days and wrote a note very similar to this to my Director. My pay was actually below market average at the time and he helped me get a 40% raise. I went on to serve 2 more years at the company.

@ishanagarwal24 Yes that would be a good option but then you’d have to take care of an additional mobile device when on long trips. The watch helps minimise the distraction that a phone screen adds. A tripper like universal navigation device would be perfect.

The Scram does offer the familiar Himalayan-ish chassis as before, which makes it super easy and comfortable to manoeuvre on the trails. I do like the newer Himalayan, but it is a bit too much ADV for me.
