Just bad writing because we see how Aegon had a sworn guard long before becoming king, but neither Aemond nor Helaena have one (Although Helaena does have a guard in the books) Rhaenyra and Aegon are the only children of Viserys that we see having a protector in the show.

I remember that the reason why the Valyrians bonded themselves to dragons was to gain power and create a new government where they would dominate the other regions, not because they found dragons pretty. And the Targaryens with dragons proved that time and time again.

Jace is one of the most important characters in Dance and his accomplishments marked him as one of the best diplomatic in Westerosi history. He's more important than Helaena, he's an actual character unlike Aegon and Aemond and his deeds shape the end of Dance in long term
