Sad day at my data science job. We’re laying off our entire 1000 person team that manually checks every row of input csv files to make sure the data is formatted properly, and replacing them with just a few lines of python code. AI automation is going to take a lot of jobs.

It turns out LA actually didn’t want the law to do what it said?
Los Angeles wrote an “emergency declaration” to address the housing crisis that somewhat accidentally *actually unleashed a torrent of applications to build* and now the city is furiously backpedaling.
