What a waste of the heart. My brother had a heart transplant and lived for 20 years. The necessity of the meds should never be a question. When we siblings went on a train trip he kept his bag with the meds in it literally everywhere he went.

I was at my 88 year old neighbor’s house and she was very irate because she heard about sex Ed of kindergartners on the radio. I told her those things are not true but she is a recluse who gets all her news from the radio. SMH.

It is heartbreaking. I don’t think the contractor could get a contract from the city. state or federal governments if they had undocumented workers. I heard that one of the men had worked for the contractor for 19 years.

I will be 80 in 3 weeks. My 80 year old boyfriend passed away in March. We liked to cuddle up and be affectionate and a little sexy. I really miss him. I miss having someone besides kids that love me and put up with me.

I grew up on a farm. We had cows and pigs and chickens. We butchered animals for their meat. We killed them humanely meaning that they never suffered. Later I grew all our food including beef and chickens. To me it is just a fact of life. If you don’t eat meat that’s okay too.

I had a lot of kids in the early 80s. Some were married or otherwise attached to their spouses. I told them to go to the in-laws early and come to our house in the evening. That way I didn’t have to cook.

Go for it. Mine was pretty gray to begin with. They have all kinds of colors. I wanted to start with something lighter than dark blue or purple. It doesn’t take long either and it isn’t permanent.

Good afternoon everyone. I’ve been off a lot the last couple days. My son’s home burned down yesterday. They think it started in one of the appliances. They were safe but they lost a very beloved parrot that my DIL had had for over 20 years. This is the second time in two years.

Yes. The age I grew up in was one where you knew your parents loved you but they never said the words. I raised my kids differently. We say “I love you” all the time. Either when we leave the house or hang up the phone. Everyone should know they are loved.

Today is the anniversary of my grandparents wedding in 1909. It’s also the anniversary of my late brother’s wedding in 1959. It’s also the anniversary of my grandson’s wedding in 2009. Amazing date!!

I think it is called pica and sometimes it is a sign of a nutritional deficiency. It can also be a sign of stress or anxiety. It is common in some pregnancies I’m not sure why.

I agree. My dad decided at 93 that it was time for me to move back to Missouri from Florida and take care of him. I was ready to retire anyway and my kids were all in MO so I packed up and moved. But I didn’t have much holding me in FL like you do where you are.

I live across the highway from Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery where there are 257000 graves. There are flags on each grave put out by scouts and volunteers yesterday. My sons helped do that in the 70s when they were Boy Scouts. RIP 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Don’t people ever do things for others out of the goodness of their heart? A neighbor told me I should charge my other neighbor for helping her. Why would I do that? I don’t have anything else to do so why not help someone else.

My grandson was visiting last night and said he was evaluating the vaccine. He’s not vaccinated yet along with his parents. SMH. But he told me that people would not get paid from life insurance if they are vaccinated and later died. I hadn’t heard about that conspiracy theory.

I worked for Census in 2020. We started late because of Covid and about the time everyone knew what they were doing he decided to cut it off a couple months early. Leaving lots of people off the rolls. Especially in the inner city.

My hubby passed in 2010. I still have a bottle of his aftershave in my medicine cabinet. It is a comfort for me and some of the kids who are all over 50. We are olfactory beings.
