site, he is deployed as Site Engineer at Site. His response absolutely shocked me. We talked for more than 1 hour and discussed every aspect.
Some important points:
1 Auger machine is nothing but a MS pipe with a screw conveyor.

1. Unfortunately, the Rescuers are also in danger. Tunnel lining is further deforming slowly but continuously. Only Rescue side can be monitored. Don't know what's happening on another end. Concrete panel brought for safety of Rescuers.

5. Among all 5-6 plans, only first plan was workable but due to incompetency of experts, more mistakes were made while using Auger. The equipment itself got stuck as they tried cutting steel with casing pipe and auger itself and took >2days to get this out.

Its Zojila Tunnel.
Union Minister Mr Nitin Gadkari lauded the MEIL, in Lok Sabha, for its time-bound & result-oriented efforts in Zojila tunnel construction. He said that the company saved Rs. 5,000 cr of public money.

7. Two days after the tragedy, on 14 nov, the only deployed Auger machine was found incompatible as per site requirements. NO IDEA what to do? CM visited on 13 nov. New machine (High power Auger) was identified in Delhi, Airlifted on 15 nov and started at site on 16 nov.
