Today at GFF event, I met my ex-boss (while I was working in USA 15 years ago), who always discouraged me from quitting high-paying job (and American dream) and moving back to India (to do some startup) Today same ex-boss was queuing up in India at GFF, to draw some inspiration and find business opportunities to work along with India. We, as a country, have come a long way!

Riyan Parag should've YouTubed "Barbra Streisand" before he his search history leaked. Ever heard of Barbra Streisand? If you have, it's not because of her music (I frankly prefer Sunidhi Chauhan) If you haven't, you're about to. And for reasons Barbra never wanted you to. Here's my hat tip to the Streisand Effect Ideas for India #5

Few weeks ago, I was speaking at a top tier college, as a guest lecturer. My topic was, how to start your entrepreneurial journey after graduation. After my talk, while moving up the aisle to exit, suddenly a person (you will know why I am not naming the gender) blocked my way and said "I am OFFENDED by your talk" I could not care less, as clearly others gave me a standing ovation. And it's okay for few folks don't like you. I still continued to walk, but this person blocked me again & said "don't you want to know?" I reluctantly asked to describe This person says "in your entire speech, you only used HE/SHE as pronouns, not THEY. And I identify as THEY. For next time, I should try to be inclusive". I push HER hand aside and moved forward. Whats happening? Instead of learning few things about entrepreneurship, her focus was entirely on being acknowledged (for whatever was going in her mind). Not labelling, but most Gen-Z's you gotta do better đ

Your appraisal is disappointing because your boss has never heard of Goodhart's Law Once you learn what it tells, you will never measure the same way again. CTR for marketing, SALs for Sales, GDP for countries. Goodhart's Law tells you why one metric will never be enough Why success is more than just about the number in your bank account Thread 1/2

Here's the first idea. This will help you more than just think
I'll be calling this series - Ideas for India. Let's begin: "Protégé" This word entered the English language in the mid-18th century, meaning "to protect". It was used to refer to someone who is under the guidance or "protection" of someone more knowledgeable or experienced. And when you are a protégé, you are taught an important learning technique, one that our favourite teacher, Richard Feynman, popularized.
