@SpiritofPines @TitusPomponius They were. Because they kept quiet. They let the University country clubs that kept their children's trust funds reupping at every generation become white guilt, woke hell holes, and eviscerated the reputation of the club. The next generation of their kids is gonna struggle.

@colin_fraser We should conclude that training a boundless intelligence exclusively on the internet was, in retrospect, obviously going to produce an autistic intelligence. Lock the next AI engine in classical writings and don't give it access to any internet content.

@Portofinoman22 @AnnieForTruth Classic MAGA voter who works in a Federal agency diversity job and is also 66 (which is 237 years old in Federal workforce age) and can't afford to retire on his Federal pension. Dime a dozen. Definitely a real person.

@Dan62252276 @AnnieForTruth This is 0% true. Feel free to contact literally any reporter if it is. National headline story. But it has to be true for that to occur.

@Austen You're not wrong. But neither are the critics. There is a definite journalistic ethics question when an entity that primarily covers the government has a financial relationship of this magnitude with the subjects they cover.

@BecomingCritter Crowd seemed on her side. But man is this unlikable crowd work. Youre paying for entertainment. Even the people cheering got a totally different high than comedy provides. Her failure.

@ByronTau The dollar amounts do raise relevant journalistic ethics questions. When a publication recieves substantial revenue from the entities they report on, it creates a financial relationship with the subject. That conflict becomes problematic at these levels.

@L0m3z He doesn't have to be right. He just has to stop the people getting it wrong from controlling the inertia. That's a very first principles insight from a man who has spent his career developing things within institutions that tend to resist development.

@CodeMonkeyZ The careful annunciation of "cwoi-SANT" is absolutely essential to this story. It is possible - nay, likely - no story or sentence has ever been conceived more fitting of such a pronunciation of the word. Well done, bard. Well done.

@NoahPollak It makes NEPA reform all the more important. You are never getting a golf course and swimming pool in a bombed out wasteland approved under the current red tape.

@johnkonrad Wait until people learn about how a sitting Secretary of State used her foundation. Or how much money public universities in swing states spent paying her husband to stump speech her presidential campaign by serving as a commencement speaker in 2007.

@shellenberger @richalt2 @elonmusk So JUST eliminating known billing fraud and overpayment would wipe out 13% of the deficit!?!? Yet the NYT thinks it's "unclear" what @elonmusk is claiming by suggesting we can balance the budget through better management?

@SarcasticCupcak Not chumps, just capitalists. As such, our donors fund these without taxpayer dollars. You are right that dismantling the bureaucracy NGO pipeline is not enough. You have to replace it. DM me if you're interested in learning about efforts to do so.

@RohitaKadambi The racial demographic with the most homogenous voting behavior is black women. If we're accusing people of voting based on racial self-selection or based on their looks, this isn't the crowd to go after.

Ad placement context matters. A lot. @elonmusk I am rooting for you. X should hire and invest in a sentiment team that helps people like @jcwawrzon make sure their ads aren't appearing in reply to threads like this one.
