Since the previous HMD, I have found out more about my maternal grandmother’s movements in between her being deported from the Łódź Ghetto at its dissolution in August 1944 to her liberation from Bergen-Belsen Lager in March 1945 (1/?)

I think Britain needs to be put under some sort of internationally approved mandate status until it is ready to govern itself.
@Fhamiltontimes
@Archimbaldo
They’re trying to push the narrative that this is something that everyone in society does to some degree amongst their peers. No it is not.

Using the term Third-World amply shows the paternalistic condescending attitude that the Royal Family and Imperial Britain has constantly displayed towards Africans.
@SAMIAFIASCO
There was quite a long ongoing dispute among the rabbinate in Israel about whether the Beta Israel were authentically Jewish. I don’t think this happened to any other group of olim.
The load of racist abuse
@PriyamvadaGopal
has received today is absolutely current proof that white fragility is real and that a lot of people are unable to engage even in the most cursory of self-critique.

@ronkelawal
@DamilohunA
That is very true but irrelevant. Chinese racism towards black people in China is not the fault of British-Chinese primary school children is it?
@Janice4Brexit
I know, it’s unacceptable to have a school so close to a polluting and noisy airport, surely this breaches noise limits and means a high score on the Daily Air Quality Index?

@PopBase
The only antisemitism being displayed is by whoever fired Melissa believing her words meant that she thinks Jews control the media. That’s quite telling on them.

Nah, Israel would have evicted the Smiths while simultaneously saying that the house was empty in the first place and the Smiths didn’t exist.
@lionelreformed
@sydmorphia
@jaxajueny
No, the point is that Third-World is outdated and offensive terminology. It stopped being used in the 1980s. It’s also an irrelevant term as the Second-World countries referred to those in the Soviet bloc, which doesn’t exist today.

Looking at Shanene’s career on LinkedIn, it looks like she’s doing very well for herself and that she’s contributed a lot more to the greater good than Allegra Stratton ever has.
@IanDunt
I hate this debate. It’s so pointless, it comes around at every election and it’s symptomatic of many people’s delusion about the UK’s global power and importance.
@davidrkadler
@SaulStaniforth
I remember when he ran for the PA presidency in 2005. The Israelis and Americans obstructed his campaign as much as possible to ensure that Mahmoud Abbas would win.
@TimesRadio
Great that you have brought Anders Breivik’s ideological inspiration on to spout her hateful and baseless views. You are deeply unserious people.

Agreed! I’ve been to Morocco, Ghana, Malawi, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Kenya and Zambia and would like to visit Ethiopia, Namibia, Senegal, South Africa and Cape Verde at the very least.

Israel gets military aid from the US to bomb it and then all of the donors (KSA, EU, Qatar, Turkey, Japan) pay to get it patched up. Rinse and repeat.
@bigthiefmusic
I don’t know your music but I can see that you’re learning about the situation through talking with a wide variety of actors and coming to the right decision. I love to see it!
@ITVNewsPolitics
@RishiSunak
Does he not realise that a lot of musicians and actors do have other jobs, many of which have been cut since the start of the pandemic?
@bexchat
Good for you. Everyone needs a bit of time out from their usual milieu and be able to experience something exciting and different once in a while, otherwise you end up withering inside.
It’s absolutely disgusting that 4 years on, these people who lost their lives due to government neglect and malfeasance have still not received justice and that many of the survivors have not been adequately rehoused.
Justice for the 72 people who lost their lives in this preventable tragedy. Victims of corporate greed and institutional neglect. We will never forget them and we will never stop fighting for justice. Rest in power.

Amos Oz was someone who truly epitomised Israeli arrogance and was not a peacenik in any sense of the word. I’m glad you wrote an article that really captured the empty essence of the man.
@JakeWSimons
This is disingenuous stuff. There is a massive difference between living in a place as neighbours and equals and living in a place as occupying colonisers who deny other communities their rights. The second is what people take issue with.
