PC Wayne Couzens was seen handcuffing Sarah Everard on a road in Clapham - she was compliant because he used the guise of covid restrictions to “arrest” her. It was seen by witnesses who assumed Everard had done something wrong. They were in fact witnessing her kidnap by a cop.

Police repeatedly warned the Home Office that its proposed overhaul of the bail system was "crackers". They went ahead anyway. Now they're doing a U-turn after the changes put victims at risk and delayed investigations even further

In an absolute classic of the "bury bad news on a Friday afternoon" genre, the National Crime Agency announces one of its most senior officers, Steve Rodhouse, will be moved from his role while he faces gross misconduct proceedings over Operation Midland.

"I wish I'd been a more treatable patient". Days after heartbreaking text to GP, Maeve Boothby O'Neill died. She was just 27. Unable to eat, drink + speak, Maeve's final months were truly harrowing. My piece from landmark inquest into ME treatment⬇️.

Utterly chilling from prosecution at Wayne Couzens sentencing. PC handcuffed Everard + put her in the car. With her hands behind her back she could not undo her seatbelt. At some point on an 80 mile journey which led to her rape and murder she “‘must have realised her fate”.

NEW - PC sent image of his penis to former female colleague in May. Met police told her it wasn't criminal offence, he continued working under misconduct investigation. After The Times asked he's been placed under criminal investigation + restricted duties

This picture perfectly sums up the need for the Met to explain its Partygate rationale. No fine for Simon Case who was emailed in advance + was photographed. Rishi Sunak had no advance knowledge but got fined after turning up for a meeting. Seems illogical.

This photo might as well be captioned: "Why did Simon Case not get a fixed penalty notice for this gathering"?
