This is the little vole I saw tonight, on a mission to eat as many dog rose petals as possible. I gathered them up and set them in front of him like a banquet. He was very pleased with them. He’s so cute with his tucked in ears.

Last day of my teaching career: 30 years, ended with a pandemic and a retirement gift of face mask and sanitiser amongst other lovely things. When I started, it was all chalk and talk. And I preferred it then. But the children haven’t changed. Always a joy. 😊

It turned out the hog (180g) was soaked through, very cold, & had a facial abscess. Popped straight in an incubator to get warm, hopefully he has a good chance now. The moral of the story is please, if you find a hedgehog, take advice from a good rescue, like @HedgehogCabin
