@LegoKingo i think it would be amazing to watch just because of how much exaggerated sexual moaning there is each time they hit the ball.

always thinking about this moment, which is probably the single most staggering, embarrassingly honest depiction of what it’s like to only be able to look at and think of the world and your life through film. such an incredible and special movie
The Fabelmans is about how terrifying being an artist is and how it will ruin your entire life but if its in you you have to keep going anyways and I love the film more and more all the time.

this mentality that all art should strive for realism as if it's the best/only way for an audience to connect with a film is not just infuriating as hell but just like straight up objectively wrong! the movie you're making a prequel to is quite literally proof of this!.

@AvalynWu such a genuinely and disarmingly tender moment for such a brutal movie, i love it so much.

@joshling i mean yeah, no shit, i’m obviously just one person and i won’t be policing anyone else’s opinion on this, i certainly didn’t like it but i know a lot of other people will and that’s cool! happy for y’all!.

when i saw the brutalist the guy behind me asked his friends "is the director of this someone we like?" and said "fuuuuck offfff" when they mentioned vox lux. later he started telling them about "this movie janine dilberg that was in a square aspect ratio" (it was jeanne dielman).
These people behind us in line for The Lighthouse in IMAX were talking about a bunch of Real Movies so I almost joined in to make friends but the more I listened the more I realized they were super annoying and had bad opinions.

@Matty_Ixnay the back and forth between that and “entitles me?!” is one of the funniest bits of the year and i’m not even sure it’s 10 minutes into the movie, it’s so insane.

@ThirtyFootFilms idk if you’re talking about this tweet, which is just my immediate reaction coming out of the theater, or my lb review i spent ≈3 hours writing after the movie, but either way i think it’s reasonable to write a review for a movie while my thoughts on it are still fresh, sorry!.

@no1ntermissions glad someone else picked this. “go back to the cluuub” is obv an incredible delivery but this is honestly just as funny to me.

@AvalynWu that split second aspect ratio change is so fucking absurd, i really need to watch these movies.

@ProfondoRobbo like i can almost get where they’re coming from, saying that you shouldn’t have to do additional “homework” or whatever to watch something is an understandable impulse (look where we’re at with the mcu lmao), but like eva is literally one of the most essential works of art ever!.

@hardwoodbabylon @joshling if you see my reaction and that's all it takes to dissuade you from seeing it and not going in and forming your own opinion on it, then idk that's on you. i've never told anyone to not see the movie!.

@kackjeating27 i rewatched x and pearl today and don’t really love them anymore but think they’re at least pretty solid movies, but yeah i don’t even know what this is or what it’s trying to do or be. i’m truly fucking baffled rn.

ok everyone shut the fuck up and look at this guy’s rating(s) for fury road, i’m actually losing my mind right now
@AutismRonin as someone who used to do this sort of shit, it’s probably the most anti-art way to evaluate a film. also just gotta shoutout the most fucking insane guy who’s currently doing it lmao

@heremotherturin ngl i feel like i’ll just assume that anyone who seriously gives this an impartial review is actually probably a racist lmao.

@TheAlexSylvian me and my sister liked to click on random episodes just to try and figure out what the fuck was going on. we clicked on an episode halfway through the last season and ended up just watching the entire rest of it. sad to see it go but god i’m glad this cast is finally free.

@nobodynoswift i didn’t mind the concept of his character and how much he was hamming it up, but i certainly didn’t like that they somehow did negative things with his character before [spoilers].

@indianloonie he watched the first 24 and then end of eva in place of 25/26? that’s all i can really think of.

@curationsystem it just barely makes sense, like you could technically watch the rebuilds without having seen the original show, but idk why the fuck anyone would want to do that lmao.

@artwithinpod seeing this right before it really blew up knowing absolutely nothing going in is one of my all time fav theater experiences. while watching every single scene in this movie it’s the greatest thing ever made and literally every scene only tops the one that came before it.

as someone who watched superbad for the first time 2 weeks ago and relatively recently developed the ability to somewhat read political ideas/messages in a film, this has really kinda aged horribly lmao. naturally, rotten tomatoes called it the 33rd best movie of all time in 2022.

already quote tweeted this once but i just wanna say that i feel like people who think like this should not be allowed to make movies.
Jon M. Chu responds to criticism of certain scenes looking too desaturated in ‘WICKED’:. “There’s colour all over it. I think what we wanted to do was immerse people into Oz, to make it a real place. Because if it was a fake place, if it was a dream in someone's mind, then the

@PunishedLibrary this is one of the 6 people i have blocked just because of this being literally the worst popular shitty one line joke review i’ve ever seen lmao. couldn’t even be bothered to come up with a joke that’s relevant to the movie, on top of making harry potter reference in 2024.

@neverthetories i genuinely cannot fathom how anyone, bullshit rating scale or not, could land on the pacing of fury road being the weakest part of that movie. just like what the actual fuck are you talking about.
