I love seeing these painted utility boxes along the Lisburn Road.
I worked with Council on this project which seen a number of these old green, graffiti covered, utility boxes transformed into works of art along the Lisburn Road right up to Finaghy.

Like Eóin, I’m used to receiving homophobic trolling on social media, but when the trolling comes from another elected rep it becomes more sinister.
When “leaders” make these types of comments it gives legitimacy to others to go one step further.
I usually ignore the homophobic trolling I receive on Twitter - but this needs called out.
An elected DUP MLA tweeting about my “desires” and calling me a “creep”. It is obsessive, inappropriate and just plain weird.

Yesterday evening I was honoured with a tour of the New York City LGBT Centre & a reception in the Stonewall Inn, to mark my election as Lord Mayor of Belfast.

have agreed to provide late-night buses over the xmas period.
Services will run on Fri & Sat nights, at £6 per journey.
Hoping this is the first step towards year round night services, although we’d need to do something about that ticket price.
Happy that committee have agreed to my request to write to Translink in support of late night public transport over the Christmas period, & to discuss extending this though out the year.

The level of abuse we receive is shocking. From DMs & letters, to public accusations, it’s grinds you down.
Another one - Maria Joyce from Armagh. Painting a target on the backs of three LGBT+ Councillors by labelling us as child abusers and encouraging further hate. Replies include threats of violence. There are other political reps who follow her and engage with her tweets - why?

I spent a week in RVH last year in A&E the entire time without access to washing facilities, continually being told I’d be moved to a ward.
My condition was nowhere near as serious or as long, but questions need to be asked about the conditions patients are living in.
