Allum (nee Colville) I'm a 66yr old wife to Paul, and mother of 2 adult children. I play golf. Poorly, but sure, it gets me out of the house. Love walking.
My sisters death certificate. TB meningitis. Little treatment and no vaccine for TB in the early 50s caused so many premature deaths. That generation took the leap of faith and trust to vaccinate for societal health. It’s our turn now.
I’m not a republican. I want the courts to examine the case and the evidence and to make a judgment. I’m not sure why an elected rep would have a problem with that.
Honoured to support Dennis Hutchings today. A man of 80 years old, with severe heart and kidney problems, being dragged before the courts to appease Republicans. The same Republicans who are safe in the knowledge they will never be before the courts for heinous crimes.
Shortage of wood & production globally, exacerbated by the Ukraine war, and pallets have gone up in price by around 40%. Product costs increase to reflect that.
What do we do here? Burn them 🤷🏼♀️
NI is my home. It’s a beautiful place. So many good people. But at times, like today, I do not like it at all. Doesn’t matter if it’s a UI, or a Union. This sectarian, partisan nonsense is never ending. Most of us just want a decent life, easiest way from A to B.
This is not a story about an MP & his family blagging a couple of fancy holidays! It’s not about the estimated £100k cost. It’s about what he was prepared to do for the fancy holidays. Lobby against a UN resolution for justice in Sri Lanka.
I’m not a “natural” SDLP voter. But tomorrow I’m voting for
@ClaireHanna
She’s been a great MP who has represented all of her constituents thoughtfully, with commitment & openness. Great contributions in WM.
Her office is always helpful & professional.
Good luck 🤞🏻
Hoping Paul will now be speaking out about the conditions refugees are kept in while waiting for their cases to be heard, both in Australia and more importantly, in the UK.
I’ve watched this a few times now, and it’s worse on every viewing.
What on earth were the UUP thinking of when they selected him?had anyone ever spent 5 mins in his company?
“It’s Northern Ireland, they don’t understand these things”
What a condescending and miserable exit by this shoe-in.
The mask fully slips, sayonara

So Arlene wants to spend my licence fee on a probe to find out what? A conspiracy by the BBC to undermine the DUP, or a genuine mistake made at 5am by a graphics person?
What is wrong with some people. Can they not just laugh, shrug their shoulders & move on? It’s a flag 🤦🏼♀️
Thanks to keeper of Armagh Cathedral library Shane for showing me some of the treasures in the 46 000 books
Including Gullivers Travels first edition with the authors corrections!

Have I understood this correctly? I voted Remain, I didn’t want a customs border on the island, and because of that, Brexit and the sea border is my fault? 🤷🏼♀️
When you think about that awful tragedy in Southport, isn’t it some sort of luxury to be queuing up to have a big meeting with the PSNI about a bit of over exuberance in Camlough?
Dear goodness. We’ve little to be moaning about here.
If the church and those concerned about drag queens reading books to children had been more aware of sexual abuse happening in front of them by good christian men, wearing the same clothes as them, they might have saved a few children from abuse.
@padraig_h
Erm, we campaigned and protested against the bodies in Ireland that allowed unmarried mothers to be locked up. We fought for change.
We didn’t say, cheers, anyone for golf and pass the dollars Padraig
Jeffrey Donaldson, asked if he could live with his conscience if a No Deal happened and the predicted 40k jobs are lost. Yes. He could. He lived through the troubles and saw worse than job losses. He is a democrat and the will of the people blah, blah.
I think it’s possible to deplore the Israeli government, defend the rights of the Palestinian people, while finding the murder of innocent civilians sickening.
Heartbroken for everyone grieving tonight.
Congratulations to everyone involved in

That’s you I’m looking at
@ooofilms
A traumatic but necessary watch and record of what our medics were doing while others were doing nothing.
I was 14 when Bloody Sunday happened. Took a lot of growing up in every way to understand the extent of the lies and the false narratives I naively believed. Like Hillsborough, it’s the families who knew and believed and persisted in finding the truth.
Have I got this right?
CH-H withheld our money because the DUP are on strike.
Now he’s giving us some of our money to entice the DUP back.
And somehow the DUP won us this money? We should be grateful? Or something? 🤷🏼♀️
Poots might be cancelling checks, but the paperwork and payment will still continue as if the checks were still there. It’s such an empty, useless gesture, doing nothing other than exposing the security of our food chains.
Dress codes and golf.
I grew up in the evangelical church. Thou shalt not wear trousers, have short hair, wear ear rings, dye your hair, wear make up etc.
I didn’t take up a sport to have another list of thou shall nots dictated to me. I’m almost 62. I can dress myself 🤨
"While this is a sad day for Northern Ireland, it is a shameful day for the DUP"
Alliance Party leader Naomi Long criticises members of the DUP for taking their salaries but refusing "to take their seats and do the work to earn it"

"the credible threat is if unionism and loyalism is continually undermined"
I don’t care who Rory McIlroy chooses to represent, but I do care that he’s allowed to make that choice without criticism or need for explanation. Same for every sportsman/woman who has dual citizenship.
My children are coming home this weekend. Yay!!
I need to clean the house so they think I’m still competent and don’t need to go into a home. Almost 2yrs since I’ve had to prove I can look after myself 🤣
I’m someone who lived in the 70s and the 80s and I haven’t a clue what a demon looks like.
Are demons real even? 😬
If someone could let Brian know?
Fairly sure it’s theatrical make up and an act, and an act with a humanitarian conscience.
🤷🏼♀️
I can’t believe

is giving voice to speech that’s under investigation as hate speech. Allowing this “preacher” to repeat his words. To attempt to justify. Shameful and unnecessary

Is any journalist going to ask any member of the DUP what their solution is to the NIP? What would they offer as the compromise that would allow them to go back into government.
The electorate are surely entitled to know this. But no one seems to ask.
In NI every health board has missed all of their waiting list targets. Every waiting list for elective orthopaedic surgery is so high, private ops have rocketed. Neuro appointments are, like most lists, off the scale at 2/3yrs. I’m just gobsmacked listening to this 🤷🏼♀️
My late mother used to make vol au vents. Shop bought frozen and she added chicken and mushroom condensed soup. They cooked like Vesuvius erupting. But they were delicious.
I’ve lived in Belfast all my life, through the troubles, & know what terrified means. Contrary to the anti lockdown restaurateurs assertion, the messaging hasn’t frightened me out of my wits. I am making a decision not to go into poorly ventilated spaces. A choice, not a fear.
Major coronavirus story tonight - a family wrongly isolated. Their 14 year old son told to stay in his bedroom for 2 weeks. They turned to the Nolan Show for help - & we have found out they were given completely the wrong advice by the health service.

The hospital waiting lists from hell, and staffing shortages, and funding losses for the most vulnerable in our society.
But yay! Broadband. Which is still fairly useless in parts. But yay! Broadband!
A few decades ago, me & himself stopped at the pedestrian crossing at the end of the Donegal Rd. at Shaftesbury Sq. The pedestrian was Dave Allen. We nudged each other. He looked up, winked at us & nodded in a conspiratorial way. He knew & we knew 😉
SELF RIGHTEOUS TWEET ALERT!
3yrs ago I smoked my last cigarette. A 43yr habit of up to 40 a day at times. I’m more shocked than anyone, but here we are 😄

It isn’t what anyone wants to smash. We want you to stop wrecking stuff. Like car parks and houses and people’s health. We want you to stop burning tyres and stuff that releases carcogenic fumes. You can have all the cola and sweets in the world and no one wants to stop you.
Women from East Belfast have set up a table with sweets & drinks for the kids. Fantastic community spirit. This is what nationalist Belfast City Council want to smash.
Listened to an interview with a woman in Gibraltar. Remember them? In the same position as NI with their border. Companies moving off the island, jobs and the economy struggling. They’re so devastated because no one mentions them ever. Not one word in Parliament.
Self righteous tweet alert!
A year ago I smoked my last cigarette. A bloomin’ year ago! Never thought I’d say that. I only managed to insult about 3 people in the early days 🤣
I need to thank you all for your support. Means a lot to me 😘
I listened to Arlene’s interview. It’s a long time since I’ve been so close to throwing something at the television. Followed by Michelle and my mood didn’t improve. Squabbling children. Awful behaviour.
Still can’t get my head around the PO believing Fujitsu over their employees, and the courts believed both the PO & Fujitsu, despite zero evidence of any postmaster having excess cash. Terrible, terrible miscarriage of justice. Those poor people.
Lessons will be learned 🤦🏼♀️
What’s that sound you hear? It’s the entire Windsor Framework and Irish Sea Border and Brexit debacle going whoosh over the heads of people outside NI.
Since 2016.
Whoosh.
Into my second year as a non smoker. I still have 30 cigarettes. I’m holding onto them. In the event of a No Deal Brexit they’ll be worth a fortune. I’ll trade them for tins of beans. This is my only plan unfortunately.
Alliance Leader Naomi Long on reforming the community designations at Stormont:
"It just isn’t tenable any more to treat those of us who are neither unionist or nationalist like we don’t count in these elections."
#AE22
I’d have preferred an election before a return to Stormont. Without it, I feel I’ve lost my voice, my representation again. I don’t vote for either of the 2 main parties. The middle parties are the losers in this thrown together new dawn, new decade or whatever it’s called.
You know the way people keep saying flu kills more people than coronavirus every year? Wearing a mask and self distancing and washing hands will stop those people getting the flu too. Two birds and a stone and all that.
I have an Irish and a British passport. My parents were evangelical christians. Neither of these things are an indicator of my religion or my politics.
Thanks for listening.
One of the many reasons why we can’t have nice things here.
When the UUP leader confuses a stay at home order during a pandemic with a customs border for goods.
Curiously it’s only a hard border when it’s on Northern Ireland side - when Garda, BSE inspectors, or
@eu_comission
do it, it’s just ‘nothing to see here’
@rtenews
@BeattieDoug
Never, ever, did an emergency vehicle drive within earshot of my dad, without him repeating that joke. I can’t hear a siren now without hearing his voice saying it. I laughed the first couple of times I heard it! (that was his next favourite line 🤣)
I don’t care what you call this place, and I don’t care about a birthday. It’s where I was born, where my parents were born, where my children were born, and it’s the place I call home.
So anyone who studies trade and trade law and understands a complex subject and whose analysis of the situation is different to that of Kate, Jamie and Ben is biased?
This is where we are now, down this rabbit hole of ideological bollocks.
Just wondering if it’s official UUP policy that anyone on a low wage/minimum wage, doesn’t contribute much to society.
Or the immigration policies expressed in this article. Official UUP policy?
Marvellous.
Made to feel important. Getting on the big plane to the big smoke with a wee briefcase full of pages.
Nice lunches, tour of WM, a big dinner, a night in a big hotel, and home.
What most of us call a city break.

@duponline
leader Sir
@J_Donaldson_MP
will travel to London for more talks with the government this week.
Discussions are about the deal that could potentially see the restoration of Stormont.
@jamesgould23
Amazing how many commentators and party activists are taking to twitter to tell us why all “other” voters gave their vote to Alliance. Am I never to be allowed a voice of my own? I didn’t “lend” anyone my vote. I voted for a positive message and a party that respects my choices.

“The BBC has given space for this preacher” to give context.
I can’t imagine any other part of the BBC giving “space” to anyone to give a defence while under police investigation.
No duty of care given to those who have to listen to this on repeat.

D’ya know the drivers who don’t wave in acknowledgment that you’ve given way to them? I’ve taken to waving enthusiastically like their my best friend ever. Better than effing and jeffing I guess. Marginally.
