Today, Ulster Unionist MLAs met with Firbus representatives Shane Haslem and Julian Simpson at Stormont to discuss ongoing connectivity issues for Fibrus Customers and understand the scope of the recovery and reinstatement process. Fibrus currently have 6000 customers without broadband down from a peak of 40,000. There is considerable damage to their network but they are actively working as quickly as possible to connect everyone with additional teams coming over from GB to assist. Fibrus has sent out updates to affected customers with an estimated timeframe for restoration. These may seem far out, but we have been told this is worst-case scenario. 📢 Firbus have launched a postcode map where you can check how many customers are affected here ➡ 📢 Fibrus have also launched a compensation scheme for those affected which you can access here ➡ 📢 Fibrus also have a vulnerable customer list to help identify those most in need. If Fibrus have given you an estimated timeframe for restoration please bear with them as they work to get you connected. @Diana_uup @crawford_uupmla
