Houses were cheaper, wages were higher, cost of living was less. It's not comparable, although incoming for the over 60s who got lucky with cheap housing & free education, who are all going to say "we put on a jumper & waited it out". You're the reason we're all screwed.

It's becoming clear that, just as we warned, coming out of the EU was to skirt laws like this. Our quality of life has already been affected, along with income, work safety & price rises. We'll see more of this . EU red tape has been severed - this another cost.

It's intensely lonely. There are lots of new dad groups, things you can do with the baby and without. Also talk to your wife - she's probably feeling the same. Ask for help, lots of services online. Remember postnatal depression can affect both parents. Take care ❤️

This seems perfectly reasonable. I was 10 minutes late yesterday - the first time in 5 years. I was mortified! If I'd been fined, then fair enough. Teachers have work to do, providing free child care after school ends is not part of that. After-school provisions exist & cost.
