Each time I see this video and GC responses, Iām knocked back and saddened. Alice my trans daughter took her own life. She never used suicide as a threat or coercion. She felt hopeless & helpless, for good reason, and she came undone. Trans resilience actually astounds me.

I've just made another FOI request. Chasing whether Alice's data has been used in Professor Appleby's July 2024 DHSC report on suicide in trans young people. I've asked the DHSC and Professor Appleby directly. Both say they don't know š§µ1/9.

Yep. To the GC peeps on here, a parent of a trans child is as much a monster as the trans person themselves. Iām the wrong kind of parent. I, like trans people themselves, cannot be trusted. Iām blamed for transing Alice, blamed for getting her care, for not getting her care 1/6.
TERFs; "Nobody knows a child like its parents. Teachers should not keep secrets from parents. Parents, parents, parents parents." . Parent affirms trans child . TERFs; "Sorry but no, us complete strangers on the internet know your child better than you do!".

a š§µabout allyship.Recently I went to a friendās student art exhibition. She showed a painting of my family protesting at trans pride 2022 with words of mine accompanying. Another student approached me. I was on edge, as my friend had told me he held some transphobic views. 1/6.
With the removal of trans peopleās rights being paraded around the media today by @KemiBadenoch , it is about time that those who claim to be trans allies stand up and be counted. Because trans people cannot do this on their own.
