We all know that women were never consulted, the impact on women never assessed, women’s voices not heard when men were given the right to claim to be women. Were women even ever taken as a gauge? Were these men ever actually compared to women to see whether their personality, their behaviour, their psyche and their aggression was more typical of women than of men? As far as I know any assessment was about - is he serious about it? - does he dress like a woman? - does he live like a woman? And by that, they scandalously meant - does he breech women’s boundaries by using women’s spaces
