@DecadeInvestor
That’s just part of the equation.
2024 house is a much smaller house in a much worse neighborhood than the 2021 house.
You’re paying $1000 a month more for a much worse house than in 2021
@Cernovich
Vivek stole the thunder in his response. Now they’ll be following his lead if they respond in accordance. Vivek is running the best political campaign in a long time.
@BowTiedBull
Co-Own a roofing business in Texas.
•First year- 3 mil in sales
•Second year- 4 mil in sales
•This year- already 1 mil in sales and haven’t even made it to the busy season.
Started the business with $50k down.
-BuT i’M a RoOfEr 🤪
@BowTiedBull
I had negative 50k net worth 5 years ago. My net worth is well over 1 mil now. Got into sales, then started my own business. Have never been given a penny from my parents, paid my way through college.
It’s very possible with learning and APPLYING the knowledge. And hustle
@BowTiedBull
Spot on. Rich men want a hot wife that provides a good home for their kids and a place of comfort for him. Couldn’t care less about her career or money
@theficouple
Being a millionaire is not a flex anymore. Most middle aged people are millionaires because their house they paid $150k for in 1985 is now worth $1.2 million. House rich, not money rich.
Having a paid off house AND 1 million in investments is a flex.
@alpharivelino
I actually agree with this.
When my wife used to try to put her arm around me like that, I never liked it. She can wrap her arm around my waist, but not my neck.
@Enigmaiesh
I can vouch for your conclusion being true in my own life.
When we were both busy working to stay afloat, the house was hardly clean, few home cooked meals, and sex was good but only a couple times a week. Always stressed and irritated at each other.
Now I have a successful
@GRomePow
I’m about to make an offer on one that’s been on the market for 167 days. They’ve dropped the price $150k from original asking, going to propose another $100k off and stand firm 🤷♂️
@EvilVizier
Nah, high value men want the physical touch, not some generated image telling them what they want to hear.
This will only appeal to the soy boys that are addicted to onlyfans and porn.
@7Saturdaysaweek
You either need a higher paying job or a high status job if you make less. Your wife may not tell you, but she doesn’t like being the bread winner in the relationship.
@shawngorham
Actual successful business vs the appearance of success.
The latter could give up a few of the niceties and be in a much better financial situation, but the ego of looking like you are the best is probably high on his list.
@becomeamannow
I own a roofing company in Texas. Don’t just hop in without any knowledge of how to properly do things, it’ll bite you in the ass.
Your subs will cut corners if you don’t know how a job is supposed to be installed/performed.
Great business. Get some knowledge, then go for it
@BowtiedCuda
All expectations should be managed and addressed before you’re married. Finding out your husband is broke or wife is uncompromising on spending should not be a surprise.
You’re a team in a successful marriage
@AJA_Cortes
My wife is in an admin position for a company that carefully prescribes GLP-1’s. She’s had thousands of patients, including many people we know, whose lives have been completely transformed for the better.
It’s a miracle treatment for obesity
@GiaMMacool
If you and your spouse can have fun like this in public, your sex live at home is very healthy. Which in turn is a
#1
indicator your marriage is healthy.
All these boring people are jealous their marriage isn’t as sexual 🤷♂️
@BowTiedDolphin
@Cernovich
His problem is the people he identifies with/lives around are the people that can’t go to a $100 show.
He shouldn’t have charged $120k and instead done the show for $20k if he wanted the show to be affordable.
@BowTiedBull
Poor kid here. The only advantage you have coming from nothing is you have nothing to lose.
Everything is a struggle. You have to earn your place, and that climb is like Mount Everest.
My kids will never know the struggle to make something out of nothing. I did it for them.
@jcolesimpson
Somebody that is good at handling multiple things in a somewhat stressful environment.
Teachers fit this bill well, and most are looking for a way out of education.
@pio_amalraj
@Enigmaiesh
What’s wrong with saying I have sex with my wife and often…? One of the most important signs of a healthy marriage.
If you are man and leading your family, providing for your wife so she can focus on being a spouse and mom, it carries many benefits, one being a good sex life
@JoeCassandra
Bad take.
I made $75k last year off one commercial customer that I did a free repair for. They got to know me, learned I was knowledgeable, prompt, and did quality work.
They don’t even check my prices anymore
@DoctorAnarchist
Both sets of parents love their grandkids, but they live 1 and 2 hours away and hardly come see them. We have to go to their house and they are retired and in good health…
@NipseyHoussle
This is the view from the guest house looking at the main house that is waterfront. Apparently there is a tunnel that connects the two houses
@Cernovich
Got 1 mil 30 yr term when 25
$750 annual
Got an additional 1 mil 20 yr term at 34
$1350 annual
I’m in great health
He’s right, get it when you’re young
@GRomePow
@Luckylopez
To be able to buy a lariat f150 around $50k new and $35k used would be back to where we need things.
Sucks for those that bought them at $80k though
@guccibluee
Great decision! Now go find you a partner in life and have a family and do more good in the world! Awesome that you’ve started a soap company!
Best wishes on a fresh start!
@jcolesimpson
You need a production manager, and badly.
Somebody to schedule with the customer, order supplies from the contracts, coordinate the crews, update PM’s on changes, ect.
You can do everything very average, or you can hire key positions that let you be great.
@BowTiedBull
This is true in life and in sales.
If you were ever in sales, you know that if you make the customer feel like they have to qualify themselves for your business, you got them. Even if you’re higher than their other two bids
FYI People can see desperation coming from a mile away
@theficouple
If RE drops 30%, people in all sectors of the economy are going to lose their shirt and that will likely be many of your tenants. What happens when your tenants can’t pay? What happens when rents go down drastically? It’s not always unicorns and rainbows
@BowTiedBroke
Residential/commercial roofing. 2 office staff, 6 salesmen/project managers. Sub out crews (use the same guys for 6 years). Margin is around 40-50%. New construction or very large jobs vary from 15-25%. My salesmen make 10% of the gross contract
@huntercoldcalls
Neither.
But nobody likes the guy that looks down on others enjoying their weekend.
Go hustle in silence and come back in 3 years and tell us where your billion is
@BowTiedBull
Had a conversation with a guy recently. He was convinced his house was worth 75% more than it was 3 years ago, but confused why the price of everything else wasn’t going back to pre-Covid levels now that inflation is back down… 🤦♂️
@GiaMMacool
My wife has a full time job working from home making great money and does all the above. But as a man, if she brought in more than me, I’d do everything I could to change that on my end.
No man wants his wife out-supporting the family financially.
@AdamColb_
@BowTiedBull
Real estate is one of the last things to correct historically. Usually mass layoffs trigger the beginning of the housing correction. That has not happened yet.
@gas_biz
Pretty much same layout as our business. We don’t hire you to babysit you. You’re either great, or you’re not for us.
If you’re great, you’re compensated better than you can find anywhere else in the same business in our area.
@GRomePow
To anybody that thinks you are a genius because your house went up 50% in value in 2 years, you aren’t. I’m in that situation and I want the market to come way back down. Make things affordable for everybody again.
@BowTiedBull
Lifestyle inflation is a killer for people when trying to accumulate wealth. Delay gratification a little, you’ll be set for life.
90% won’t do it
@BowTiedCaiman
And that’s if you’re single.
If you have a family and y’all aren’t pulling in $100k annual, I don’t know how you’re making it. Especially in higher cost of living areas
@BowTiedBull
I was a coach for 7 years, realized at 28 that I would never be able to do anything in life and retire at 70+…
Got into sales, co-founded a roofing company, and could live off the dividends it brings in after 2 years in business. Plus freedom. Changing my family trajectory
@guccibluee
Men and women both. Soft culture creates weak men, and our culture currently encourages it. If everybody would get in shape a little bit, that would probably help some.
@the_wildwoman
Rare, but possible. Too many women are overweight now, and the ones that aren’t show too much.
The woman that can dress modest and is beautiful and very desirable
@BowTiedBull
When I was a roof salesman/PM I brought in $1.5 mil my first 6 months(revenue). This was residential.
One commercial roofing salesman can do $10mil+ every year if they have “it” and the connections.
Now I own a company that hires those salesmen.
@enjoyerofchess
@BowTiedBull
When I was tired of making the owner a ton of money and understood the system inside and out, I teamed up with another top PM and started our own company.
Learn everything about the trade at a big company, And if you’re good, think about starting your own. Its not for everybody
@cozycountryclub
@BowTiedBull
Sales- roofing

Invest in index funds and farm land. RE hasn’t made sense for a while, but I’m ready when the cards fall.
@PicturesFoIder
While the thought behind this is nice, it won’t work without a staff to have strict rules and enforcement and for mandatory self help classes.
@BowTiedBull
Deflation is the right move, but inflation is what we’ll get.
Main reason is because our government is in too much debt (need to inflate our way out), and the wealthy control politicians (they want their assets to keep going up in value).
@___sarahxz
Men don’t want to be friends with attractive women.
It’s always about sex.
If you think you have a close male friend, flirt with him hard one day, and see if he would act on it… Surprise! He’s not in it to be a friend
@GRomePow
Don’t feel bad for them, they marked up prices 10k,15k, 100k over msrp the last couple years. Some of the greediest mf’ers out there. Hope it bites them where it hurts
@GiaMMacool
100% It matters a lot.
Matters in all aspects of life.
-lifting with a bunch of out of shape people, or a bunch of fit people… which motivates you to be better?
@alexfeinberg1
Yes, after they have success, your metric works fine. In the early years of their becoming successful, a nice pickup would be considered a tool. They will likely sell 25-30% more jobs having a nice pickup. The difference easily pays above and beyond for their vehicle payment
@BowTiedBull
Everybody I employ is 1099. They like the higher pay/write-off ability, it’s a major benefit for us as a business. Can also get rid of them at any time for any reason.
@daviscfisher
@jcolesimpson
Teachers are some of the best employees, they have a very large skill-set they develop over the years.
If you want another suggestion, sports coaches can make great project managers and salesmen. Ask me how I know 😜
@ArbitrageAndy1
@BowTiedBull
Today- $600k house at 8%
2-3 years- $400k house at 4.5%
You refinance in 2-3 years, your note is still at $600k, but you will have to have $250k equity to get the 4.5% rate.
@homeservguy
Spot on.
We’ve tried about all of those things, including a commercial for the local news stations. A WHOLE LOT of money for 1/10 leads being something you actually want to convert. Huge waste of capital.
Best lead generation is being involved in the community, door knocking,
@DejaRu22
Yeah- she may be widowed, guy might have not been loyal, she may be your queen. If she didn’t cheat, she’s still a fine suitor.
That kid could be a blessing to you too
@7Saturdaysaweek
I’m married. I have kids. I want to be able to make enough to provide a comfortable living for my family, and allow my wife the freedom of being a full time homemaker/mom if she wants.
I don’t want my wife trying to climb a corporate ladder and stress about work and money.
@huntercoldcalls
Not sure why you’re wanting details on my shower… but I don’t swing that way.
I went to church with my wife and 3 kids, met friends and family there, came back home and cooked burgers for everybody while we’re enjoying football.
I’m already successful in all levels of life.
@GiaMMacool
If your relationship is in a good place, sex should be happening very regularly.
To all the people that have kids…
I have a 6,3,and 10 month old. My wife and I have sex at least 5 times a week, often times more. Kids don’t need to be an excuse to not enjoy each other.
@realpeteyb123
This is exactly what it’s about! Have the drive to conquer and grab the life you want, it’s within reach! Go get it! Love the message, my path is similar
@sweatystartup
I agree with you because this was me.
I was only able to take the leap into starting my business because my wife made 100k at the time. This was when I was 30.
When you are older and have a family, the risk is very hard. Not many will do it, even if talented.
@BowTiedBroke
This was my exact path, and I can vouch that this approach works!
Gotta know the industry you’re starting in very well, wear a lot of hats for a while, be a hustler, but probably the best path to creating a successful business and getting rich!
