I don’t eat out anymore because it’s too expensive and most places are filthy and dont care about anything except flipping a profit. Meaning cheap oils, cheap meats and low quality ingredients. All for too much money + a tip. I’m getting better at cooking because of it tho.

The gym is a great addition to this. Now that going to the gym is cool and everyone is a TikTok fitness influencer it’s always busy with amateurs filming their every move. I’m glad I have a home gym now but I remember in 2016 nobody was into working out as much as today

Dude who I trained at my job at orientation came in, cool dude, and he said he needs this job because he owes $1000 a month in child support. Keep in mind the position paid like $18 an hour. He was mandated that 1k a month cuz he had his own business before then lost it.

I just found out that we’re getting a planet fitness where the old Kroger used to be. Planet fitness isn’t the ideal gym because of its rules but only 10$ a month is extremely affordable. Also the fact we’re getting a gym around here is awesome. I’m excited tbh

However minimum strength standards should be 1x bodyweight bench, 2x deadlift and squat and 5 pull-ups.

8 years in the gym, just started powerlifting 2 years ago. Most growth I’ve ever had. Body is a little run down but the gains are great. Besides, gaining muscle is much more subjective of a growth compared to the concrete and linear numbers you can put up.

I’m gen Z on paper but I grew up climbing trees and playing hide and seek in the woods with the neighborhood kids. Setting up stores out of forts we built in the woods and damming up little streams. So glad my parents didn’t give me a phone till I was in highschool.

Life is moving so fast right now it’s hard to adapt to these changes that are coming so quickly. I’ve done more and changed in the past 6 months more than I have in the past 4 years. Life is quick and changes so much more after highschool.

I do a variation of starting strength for the past few years. 520 squat 390 bench 500 deadlift at 200bw. I did bodybuilding style for 6 years before strength and I can honestly say strength training is far better. The best way to train is to focus on getting stronger.
