"Loving something unconditionally doesn't mean you love it more. It just means you love it sadder."
Making a detour from Dragon Age through Cyberpunk 2077.
I think I need to have something to stand out in the DA community but I can't do art and I'm too shy to share my ao3 but you know what I'm good at and proud of?
Drinking tonic espresso.
This is master thread of me testing different tonic espressos, updated as my journey continues
the fact that everyone in DA2 party is considered non-native to Kirkwall and yet they are the ones struggling to make the city a better place is so dear to me
what is a controversial/ unpopular dragon age opinion that you have?
mine is that the templars are also lowkey victims and the chantry are the real culprit of a lot of problems in thedas
Going partying tonight 🕺🪩🦁got my party hat on 😁🤠😄 hopefully won't get drunk enough to say "sex" in a weirdly intense manner 😅😅😅 or almost accidentally reveal my secret eldritch horror identity haha
gotta love the fact that option to start romance with Cullen is still available after like 50 hours of gameplay. I'm about to hit Temple of Mythal and this man is still ready and waiting
For all people excited to romance Davrin because of Garrus - from what I gathered, John Dombrow wrote him for ME3 when he and Shepard were basically married and he had iconic scenes and lines, romantic and otherwise. So, you know, get ready for a lot of giggling and feet kicking
I love this section tho when you see all the paintings becoming more and more obvious and you have to imagine Lavellan's thought process of slowly admitting to herself her theories are canon
Okay, but about the ass grab.
It's not like "from a certain angle it looks like an ass grab". It is an ass grab. Intentional. In a breakup scene.
Someone wrote it. Someone storyboarded it. Someone animated it. So many people had to green-light it.
What did BioWare mean by that?
@CywilizacjaZ
w co piątym odcinku hałsa oskarżają kogoś o symulowanie choroby po czym ten ktoś prawie umiera w drzwiach wyjściowych szpitala a team hałsa na to "o kurwa rzeczywiście xD"
Disclaimer: I think depictions of the worlds with gender inequality are alright and important but I would like the creators of these worlds to BE AWARE they are depicting one.
@MikeUsesBirdApp
City Elf origin literally plays out differently depending on your gender. They kidnap you if you are a woman and don't bother with you if you are a man
@cyb3rbunn1e
as a non-native English fanfic writer, I feel seen. I feel recognized. I feel appreciated.
but I also found out recently that in one of my fics I wrote "poodle" instead of a "puddle". repeatedly.
Okay I have never had hots for Solas, loved him as a character but not really as a romantic option and now I'm romancing him and giggling over his flirting options and seeing this art and... why he so pretty what is happening to me
@kingofantiva
They have Antiva in this game, they had to do a research about the main source of player's knowledge about Antiva and the most important characters coming from it... Right? I hope it's a joke because they don't want to spoil Zevran being the main character of DATV
wait this tweet comparing canceling a preorder to joining bigoted grifters was made by one of the quite popular test players?
what the hell what am I even supposed to think about that
@ranczocytaty
- Może być pan spokojny. Seks z pana córką wcale mnie nie interesuje. Mówię poważnie, ani teraz, ani później.
- A co? Klaudii brakuje czego?!
- Przeciwnie, jest śliczna i pociągająca. Ale ja jestem gejem.
- ...Panie, no to kamień z serca🏳️🌈❤️
So... that first Solas kiss... it makes me like... feel... things? And it makes me... reload the game 5 times just to see it again...
Should I book a therapy appointment
@jrayereads
Apart from inclusivity - it's just something more interesting story-wise, something new, brand new dynamic that you can't predict beat by beat
@DarcyH2
"Execute your bestie to get into my heart" sounds hilarious
But don't you ever even pick a flirting option even if it is with non-romancable character before the guy even joins you in act II is diabolical
@theelderbaddie
*it may turn into rant so I apologise in advance*
I hate that they gave his birth badass magical epic backstory and made his mother important and powerful while half of Alistair's tragedy is that he was born into awful, but pretty ordinary and dark circumstances.
@dragontaash
don't remember it that well but didn't Varric talk about how he would never grow a beard because it reminds him of his parents and dwarven prejudices? It makes me so sad to see him with a beard, like he lost some part of his (cynical) idealism and rebellion. Like he's just tired
One thing should be said - book with Fiona reveal came out before Origins so that backstory was always there. Obv, 90% of the players start with games, then dive into books so it feels like changing maid backstory. Still - sucky idea is a sucky idea and my opinion stands strong
@MyLovelyCrow
also they released an unfinished game. these patches are hardly additional content, they are content that should have been there at the release date. why should I be grateful? I paid them for the product, why wouldn't I have the right to criticise it?
@liquid_history
My Hero of Ferelden forced to be a Warden against her will would beat Blackwall with a Joining chalice if she learnt he was in Ferelden during the Blight
I don't think Davrin will be a copy of Garrus and I don't think we would be happy with a copy of Garrus, but judging from all we've got about Davrin's personality so far and the way Dombrow approaches romance, I think we will be feasting so well
@ShimmieShi_
"Magisters created the Blight that way!"
No, you dumbass, even if that myth is true, they created it by going into the Fade physically which we are not going to do.
"Nuh-uh not going gonna pray for you tho."
@theelderbaddie
He was treated as an inconvinience his whole life and I don't like walking back on it to make it "actually, everyone cared about him, they just had super important reason to treat him like that and keep in the dark." It was important to me that Alistair was actually just a guy.
