@NoContextHumans "🤓 it is my duty as theeeee man to protect my wooooman" . She's not "his woman", it's a first date and she is not property. Making a guy feel like you distrust him is a bad idea but it's nowhere near as bad as the above.

@BennieDotGay Wherever this took place, everyone involved in institutional rape deserves the death penalty.

@DrAllyLouks Eeehh. Causing discomfort to others is harming them. I think the actual argument here is that the moral benefit from sheltering this person is greater than the moral harm from everyone else's discomfort.

@Joe_Trinder @sas36209 So if a slavery law "has been in place for 49 years" we should give up on our efforts to abolish it? If a misogynistic or misandrist law "has been in place for 49 years" we should just leave it be?.

@_nekhcore @exalt_emily what's worse is how it's worded in a way so as to hide that its sole purpose is excluding trans women.

@robotranssexual @thesilvain @JoyMoone @Smidgelegion @RouniPix @100000slimes @littleguns_ If he's a trans man, would he not have grown up experiencing "women's oppression"? Do you realise the insanity you just wrote?.

@BarbieAgitprop Saying "he was scared? of a woman?" as if being a woman inherently makes someone not scary, as if being scared of a woman is in itself illegitimate. unless it was about *him*, specifically, a misogynist who thinks he owns women being scared of a woman 💀😭.

@robotranssexual @thesilvain @JoyMoone @Smidgelegion @RouniPix @littleguns_ It doesn't matter if they "are" women, they were treated *as if they were* women and as such definitely know what it's like to experience that.

@SEllisonJ @AriDrennen Almost every single woman voted to fail the motion. As usual, it's a bunch of old men telling women what's best for them.

@ComradeCourEEr @sofiabuffgf Someone who is only attracted to masculine men and feminine women is still bisexual. Bisexuality doesn't mean equal attraction to every point in the spectrum. You are not entitled to anyone's attraction.

@Joe_Trinder @sas36209 I was demonstrating how your argumentum ad antiquitatem fallacy makes no sense, not saying this specific law has anything to do with slavery. Also you should look up what the Maori did to the group that came before them.

@LGBwiththeT Of course the transphobic group immediately calls for more of the garbage that got us here to begin with 😂."It's incredibly dangerous for any woman to be in a male prison". So true, trans women do not belong in men's prisons.

@JoyMoone @robotranssexual @thesilvain @Smidgelegion @RouniPix @littleguns_ To my knowledge, nobody is talking about "an innate knowledge on what being a woman", they are talking about experiencing misogyny. You can experience misogyny without being a woman if you are perceived to be one, and vice-versa for experiencing misandry without being a man.

@boymoderology Guess trans people in the UK have until March 1st to find a country to move to that isn't a transphobic shithole. Isn't forced displacement defined as genocide? Assuming this is generalised and not just one specific clinic, TERF Island would be committing trans genocide. Wow.

4. Now, however, we have strong evidence that these ads are wearing on people. While they may have caught voters attention early, over time, voters have grown extremely tied of them. When asked if the ads have gotten mean spirited and out of hand, Likely voters say yes (+28)

@JoyMoone @robotranssexual @thesilvain @Smidgelegion @RouniPix @littleguns_ Yeah, the reason for the method. And the reason for the method is thinking that the person on the other end is a woman (even if it turns out to be a closeted trans man, the aggressor does not know).

@Isthateyesack @sofiabuffgf Technically correct, in that you can't make something that isn't bad to begin with "less bad" lmao.A person can reject another's advances for any or no reason. That's how consent works. Even if you dislike the reason.

@auroraa428 @checkria the entire point of "trans women are women", which you somehow have missed, is not paying lip service, it's fundamentally not segregating trans women from the rest of women.

@men_are_human This could've been avoided if they made the law gender neutral, as it should've been to begin with. A crime is no worse because the criminal is a woman nor because the criminal is a man. If there's a "Court of Violence Against Women", is there a "Court of Violence Against Men"?.

@uncanny_eli To my knowledge, feminisation hormone therapy only has two irreversible effects: fertility, and breast growth, and the latter can be reversed via surgery so, in effect, it has only one: fertility. Testosterone, endogenous or otherwise, on the other hand,.

@mushycrouton Indeed. Sadly the right wing finds itself full of clowns like this. By all rights, it shouldn't "be a left/right issue", both sides of the aisle should reject transphobia summarily.

@uncanny_eli removing soft tissue is not the same as reshaping bone in terms of cost or access, but I can concede the overall point of breast growth being surgically reversible.

@Invisible_TSW There's nothing wrong with it. Of course when people have sexual fantasies they are going to imagine themselves how they want to be, not in a state that gives them gender dysphoria. Bigots never make sense anyway.

@uncanny_eli and on this note, I am curious, are trans men "on a timer" like trans women are, to transition? because male puberty absolutely destroys a trans girl's body if she doesn't get access to the healthcare she needs.

@gayforgodzilla The way you were born doesn't make you evil. I hope internalised misandry isn't what drove you to transition and that this actually turns out to be the right path for you.

@forestofcake Why does everyone repeat that "prostitution is the oldest profession in the book"? I just can't wrap my head around how this makes sense to anyone, unless they consider relationships to be prostitution (as many modern "hoe experts" do). Surely the oldest profession is "hunter".

@JoyMoone @robotranssexual @thesilvain @Smidgelegion @RouniPix @littleguns_ That's not what's happening here. You seem to think misogyny is based on the person's unobservable identity. We're saying a person's choice to be misogynistic is based on that person's subjective perceptions.

@mcne2eri @Lilith_Atheist The moment you ask me why I don't believe in any gods, I'd tell you I don't need to justify why I *don't* believe in any gods, you need to justify why you *do*. The default is to *not* believe something unless given reason to.

@liberaljanee Uh. this one has me literally scratching my head. Trans women are real women, yes, but a woman is not just "anyone who identifies as one" and I find this assertion reductive. Trans women didn't *choose* to be that way. It's not something anyone can just say words and become.
