Probably because we're spending a lot on more important areas of the pitch. Forward and defence are bigger priorities.

Bowen still has better stats. But in a way these comparisons are pointless. We see more of Bowen (who offers more attacking and defending in our minds) and you see more of Bailey. Bowen has certainly been more consistent of the two over the last few seasons

You have to be very lucky to win without the ball. And the luck just about ran out. They actually got lucky that Spain missed so many chances. 4-1 would've been right. Germany, Holland, Spain, France, Brazil, Argentina, Belgium all keep the ball better and take more risks

Because I think he'll play Paqueta and/or Kudus there, especially if we sign a forward which will put Bowen on the right. I'm not saying it's not important, but defence a centre forward should be absolute priority

He's learnt that can't play JWP and Soucek in centre midfield and that's why we're getting a new player to play there alongside Alvarez. The defence will be better when they are not so exposed.

Excellent link up play. Fluid. Todibo and AWB needed. Rodriguez must start. I'm still not sure of Kilman but obviously too early to tell. Next to Todibo and with Alvarez & Rodriguez in front, probably a lot more confident.
