It's official, my first XR application is under submission for release on the new Meta Horizon store🤞

I made the prototype solo, and we created the MVP with a team of 4.
Our hackaton was a multiplayer stacking game that has no rules. It was interesting to see how people played completely different.
Some played co op, some 1v1 some just trashed then place.
My first published app is now live on the Meta Store.

For this weekend, for the XR Hackathon at
#Gamescon
Cologne we're preparing something really cool.
It involves 1950 comic books, Comfy UI and Parallax effects and Mixed Reality. Stay tuned!
Me and 2 fellows from
@XR_Bootcamp
made a Sales tool for robot arm resellerss to test robot functionality at specific locations.
This idea is for the near future when anyone can buy a robot arm for cheap and specific usecases and need to easy test their functions.
We created an AI pipeline to process retro comic books, a hackathon winner project at
@xraihack
Cologne.
The idea is simple:
"a lightweight immersive comic book reader"
In this thread I will explain how we made this in just 2 days.

Updated our App demo video to 35 seconds. How to memorize anything.
The music is mixed up but the focus is on the application features.
This will be a submission for eta Quest Lifestyle App Accelerator

Master the technique of Memory Palace to master any speech by heart!
We made a Quest 3 MR productivity app where you can record voice memos and save them. Train your memory.
Use this for your pitch decks.
Downloadable on Applab 🔜
End of day 1, and I'm pretty happy.
✅procedural segmentation
✅basic MR viewer
to do:
- animations
- interactions
- parallax effects
- dynamic depth
- what else?

Look, its hard to say without the actual data.
In normal conditions there are a lot of rules applicable to avoid these things. You can look up for SOLAS.
But things can still go horribly wrong when you have a unlikey combination.
A blacked-out ship should be able to have some
Few weeks ago I made this memory trainer MR prototype. We are now working with a team of 4 developers from XR Bootcamp to create an MVP out of this.
The ultimate goal is to push it to Applab, the deadline is in 8 days. I'll update here about our progress.
@UploadVR
A good version of Augments would need a multi app experience on OS level, so makes sense that this will take some time.
Augments without multi-app experience is just any application with spatial anchors saved to the device locally.
I am currently creating a minigame in XR. The idea is to create different games inside a virtual suitcase.
Currently busy with a TicTacToe

I worked on maritime vessels as well, and I agree this looks like an accident. Blackouts happen, but they should be fixed ASAP during port navigation.
The blackout happend just right after giving extreme course correction, prob some wacky steering happend as well or a failure?
I wish to have a website like this (link below) but for XR development videos from Dilmer, Valem, Robi, everything! but based on what you want and which SDK:
What do you think? should we make the big XR library?
@Dilmerv
Without being a shader wizard it's hard to do stuff like this, but thanks to Meta Motifs from
@xrdevrob
we can now switch from VR to MR in a comfortable or cool way, instead of abruptly switching.

Mixed Reality experiences can be combined with Smart Lighting. This specific combination is highly potential IMHO.
Mixed reality is merging our reality with the digital, using scene variable lights can have a bridging effect -> making the world more seamless.
For Mixed Reality on Quest we really need passthough for a nice frosted panel effect.
Interestingly we do have universe passthroug, kinda got carried away
@Hamptonism
Hey, I don't think this is done in minecraft but a self made game forked from a Minecraft copy.
its quite easy to set this up with Unity Sentis.
AFAIK you cant draw like this in Minecraft.

But I do agree that it is still underappreciated, this should be as big as soccer. And it will be

maybe I'm very stupid, but having these objects pop in and pop out of our 3-dimensional peripheral, do they interact with air molecules in a 3-dimensional way?
And if so, could they generate lift?
