My Asian neighbors just bought their first firearm last week. Anyone who doesn’t have violence on their mind isn’t going to suddenly turn violent because they buy a firearm. They buy them to protect themselves and be of use to help secure their communities in times of crisis.

Can confirm. In the religious circles I grew up in, much of it took care of itself as the youth in our denomination moved away after becoming adults. Once free from the local hometowns, it was much easier for them to be honest with themselves and later with their families.
