Being a revert is like fighting your family for being too Muslim and then fighting other people because you’re not Muslim enough. I gave up trying to please one or the other and started doing things for myself and Allah SWT. A lot of people will have problems with you either way.

Lol refusing a divorcee or making the taaruf process difficult is crazy. It is Sunnah to marry a divorcee btw. Divorced women have seen the ins and outs of marriage, we have been there before, we know how it works. Don’t neglect the other half of your deen for something so minor.
Divorce isn’t a secret. I’m very open about it, but for someone’s mum to say to me “people tend to walk out of a marriage over nothing. I know it’s nothing to do with me but just need to know what happened with you so I know you won’t walk out on my son.”
