Kids are on iPads too much. If you’re at a restaurant, it makes me sad. If you can’t get through a quick target run without a toddler watching a show, that’s bad. Kids existed for a billion years without these devices and we have no idea what it will do to their brains.

I grew up around a lot of homeschoolers. The hatred of school was unsettling, it struck me as laziness. Easier to let a kid wander around the yard than teach him math. Almost all the kids have really struggled in adulthood.

My hospital didn’t have a nursery. Baby never left my side. Super hard after a c section but k. I called about a $4k “nursery fee” on my bill. Apparently they refer to the plastic bassinet next to the bed as a “nursery” now. Lol. Feels like a perfect visual.

Maybe this is bitchy but this feels like a safe space: parents who get friendly really fast and say things like “your kid is welcome at our house anytime” and then immediately ask you to watch their kids. “Look at this warm and fuzzy community!” It feels super icky to me.

Same scan, found out baby had died. No explanation. Needed miso because my body wouldn’t let go, but in my liberal town the pharmacist gave me a v hard time. Almost ran out without anything, could have died of an infection. These laws are ghoulish and cruel and I’m so mad today.

This terrifies me. I had a missed miscarriage discovered around 14 weeks and had a bad infection. Doctor was so kind and offered me about six options for treatment. I was better almost immediately and able to go be with my toddler. Everyone deserves that.
