@SK_00001 Well done on this. Defence Policy Review 2024, still postpones LOA-3 to after 2028. Govt shd aim for LOA-3 now, not 2028; aim 1% GDP on defence, instead of the 0.2% lagging bottom EU. @SimonHarrisTD needs to heed defence advice of @mark_mellett @BerryCathal @donlav @danobrien20.

@carlbildt Actually, better option is to move many to West Bank. Israel has constructed illegal housing for 700,000 settlers in East Jerusalem and WB, which @CIJ_ICJ requires illegal settlers be evacuated to Israel. Trump can resettle the settlers - and let Gazans live in their Palestine.

@ConorHogarty The majority of comments here are ignorant baloney by those who haven't a clue. My late father served in the @defenceforces garrison on Valentia Island in WW2, a team protecting cables that proved vital to Allied comms. Today hybrid warfare already being waged. We must do better

@carlbildt Canada would be a subordinated vassal if USA invaded. But it would be an equal partner if it joined EU. AS Romano Prodi once said: "The EU is a union of minorities"; no one country commands a majority. Compromise & consensus make us more robust.

This is an incomplete list, Ukrainian government officials have stated there were 20 ceasefire agreements in total and around 200 rounds of negotiations. 1. **Minsk Protocol (Minsk I)**: Signed on September 5, 2014, this protocol called for an immediate ceasefire and the exchange of prisoners. 2. **Memorandum on the Implementation of the Protocol Provisions (Minsk I)**: Signed on September 19, 2014, it detailed steps for the ceasefire and the establishment of a 30-kilometer security zone. 3. **Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements (Minsk II)**: Signed on February 12, 2015, this document outlined various measures to resolve the conflict, including a ceasefire, withdrawal of heavy weaponry, and constitutional reforms in Ukraine. In addition to these primary agreements, the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine facilitated several other ceasefire arrangements between 2014 and 2020, including: - **"Silence Regime"**: Declared on December 9, 2014, this ceasefire lasted with intermittent violations until mid-January 2015. - **Easter Ceasefire**: April 2016. - **"Harvest Ceasefire"**: Summer 2017, announced during the harvest season. - **Christmas Ceasefire**: December 2017. - **"Back-to-School Ceasefire"**: August 2018, coinciding with the start of the academic year. - **New Year and Christmas Ceasefire**: December 2018. - **Spring Ceasefire**: March 2019. - **"Harvest Ceasefire"**: Summer 2019. - **New Year and Christmas Ceasefire**: December 2019. - **Comprehensive and Sustainable Ceasefire**: Declared on July 27, 2020.
