@NYRural You don't need to live in a district to rep it. Also, she beat Davis in the 2022 primary; I doubt she loses anytime soon.

@TrishtheSkeptic @doubleh8rz @kittypurrzog You realize that Republicans always end up increasing the deficit while Democrats usually decrease it, right? If you cared about the deficit you would've voted for Harris.

@CrotserJeremiah @ThatCoolBlkNerd @lxeagle17 I agree it isn't healthy, but adding more democracy to the primary process isn't the solution. Saying this as someone who supported Bernie both times.

@CrotserJeremiah @ThatCoolBlkNerd @lxeagle17 Being democratic is more the problem than the solution here. If the decision was being made by a vote of the House and Senate Dems, Biden wouldn't've even been in consideration for 2024.

@RegardingThat @SollenbergerRC @joncoopertweets How's it necessary? My life was perfectly fine before they started doing these cuts. Doesn't seem necessary at all.

@lxeagle17 Terrible take. The project is finally getting going, and it's a viable route -- it clearly makes sense to have HSR in this corridor. The next governor needs to override state laws to make it happen faster, not to cancel it altogether.

@lilyhwilkerson I think this is more of a problem for urban areas; I haven't had any trouble with the rural areas I've stayed (admittedly, very small sample size).

@shazzity I mean, no. Netanyahu will give Trump a sweetheart deal but that isn't better for Palestinians long term.

@DrewSav Stop using the counties. It's 2025; the planning regions are the proper subdivisions of the state.

@thelenoreworld @Charliemagne @ScooterCasterNY Do you think the feds should stop funding roads? Since none of them make a profit either.

@thelenoreworld @Charliemagne @ScooterCasterNY Okay, well, if driving is that much better for you then you should be happy to pay the $9 to drive on less congested roads. Win-win.

@thelenoreworld @Charliemagne @ScooterCasterNY Then why not move somewhere other than NYC? The entire country except for NYC is car-oriented, as you said. Is one decent city too much to ask for?
