So, they destroyed a ride they deemed was "culturally insensitive", based on a movie they deemed as "culturally insensitive", and then replaced it with a "culturally insensitive" ride based on a movie they deemed was "culturally insensitive". Got it!👍
Dr Facilier was NEVER considered by WDI for use in the attraction due to his association with voodoo & Carmen Smith's insistence that any depictions of it would be "culturally insensitive."
This is why Mama Odie was changed from a "Voodoo Queen" to a "Bayou Fairy Godmother."

A good ride shouldn't have to rely on numerous signs and banners to tell a story.
Splash Mountain had elaborate scenes filled with audio-animatronics that simply told the story with words, music, a touch of humor and a lot of charm, that's what makes a good ride.

We recently lost both the interactive Mickey Mouse Bandleader Fountain and the iconic Roger Rabbit's Fountain in Disneyland's ToonTown.
They were replaced for a "new" fountain that hasn't worked as promised since day one, what a huge loss of memories and history.
"It's just a fountain" is becoming an evergreen sentiment from Disney. Polynesian, Fountain of Nations, and now Morocco. I'm sure there are others, too.

💯 If Disney can't "afford" to keep the Parks open late they should move the hours of operation to close after dark, especially when it's extremely hot. 🔥🔥🔥
Still wild to me that Animal Kingdom refuses to stay open past 7 pm and that Disney continues to have a park that was overhauled to be a nighttime experience never stay open for that experience. Remember this concept art? Sure we got parts of it but none of this happens now.
