Why should woman have to “toughen up” to be surgeons? Why should anyone?!
Expecting women to accept “sexually inappropriate actions” and just get on with their jobs is disgusting, disrespectful and quite honestly heartbreaking.

Except in my case I have only ever been a Commissioned Officer, and have been the only woman in the room, and have felt too junior / unknown / not brave enough to call it out. Rank isn’t always enough.
So, I joined the Army around the same time as one of my mates from home. She went the soldier route & is now a Junior Non-Commissioned Officer 🇬🇧
She recently sent me this text to vent. A minor irritation. Something to be brushed over. Or is it?
