Think of it in terms of left-handedness vs right-handedness. Decades ago, left-handed kids were forced to learn how to write with their right hands. Many of them learned to “mask” their left-handedness by writing with their right hand, even though it took a great deal of effort

When my (now adult) son was little, he had the same trouble with Ls. There was nothing cuter than his little 3 year old self belting out Garth Brooks’ 🎶 Yonnnnnnnnnnggneck Boddos 🎶. Still makes me laugh remembering. He can say it fine now 😅

That happened to me also, in 1994 after the birth of my second baby. Mine came back probably 98%, but I still see the asymmetry at times and a slight droop when I’m tired. That side of my face gets tired and is still weaker. I hate it, too. 💜
