honestly, suspending his chairmanship is insufficient. he has to recuse himself from all Senate proceedings. He endangered lives for his own profit. He has no right to be in that chamber.
As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I know that our committee receives sensitive information, including assessments and projections, before others in Congress and the general public (if ever).
Senator Burr should suspend his chairmanship pending investigation.

Last year, Jose Ramirez had the 9th lowest SwStrk% in MLB among qualified hitters. Myles Straw had the 2nd lowest.
The guy hitting between them hasn't swung through a pitch yet.
The lineup lacks depth but that's just a brutal way for any pitcher to start a game.

The "why get Murphy when Naylor is coming" talk track is crazy to me. 1) Murphy is better. If Naylor turns into Murphy that's an INCREDIBLE outcome. 2) there's plenty of room for both. Can each catch 81, play some 1B/DH. Naylor maybe some OF. Having both is a feature, not a bug.

Assuming these tweets are both accurate, expanding to 14 teams would be a net loss for owners on TV revenue vs. player salary. Obviously more to it (gate, for example) but strongly suggests 14-team playoff demand is NOT about revenue, it's about "competing" without spending.

my issue with MiLB "man on second" rule is not break from tradition - it's that it is going to make extra inning games suck. Every half inning will start with a bunt. most will follow with IBB. bottom half of innings will all start bunt, IBB, IBB. thrilling

The more that I think about the proposed changes to the playoff format, the more they makes sense. It's an anti-tanking device -- giving more reasons for teams to spend $ and push for a playoff berth, more Oct. hope for players, fans. It could reduce the standings polarization.

Atlanta might be the best team in baseball and a huge chunk of the gap from them to Cleveland is that they were willing to trade top prospects to Oakland and Cleveland wasn't. Put Olson and Murphy on Cleveland and it makes a MASSIVE difference.

And that's not a knock on Sizemore. He may have well been on his way to a HoF career. But Trout vs Grady is roughly same as Grady vs a random replacement level guy you don't remember. Trout is just that good.
He was Mike Trout, before Mike Trout. Injuries/health unfortunately hampered a chunk of his career.

I have seen a lot of Cleveland fans hoping to avoid Seattle and a lot hoping to avoid Toronto, but if TB can go McClanahan-Glasnow-Rasmussen with Springs and Kluber available out of the pen or to open or whatever? I just think all three are good teams that will be tough matchups.

I love Manzardo. I get why the team wanted to trade Civale. I love this deal long-term (and by long-term, I could mean as soon as September and certainly by Opening Day next year). But, right now? I am a little bummed. Just some mixed emotions about this one.
