considering they put nearly 800 apartments on a lot the size of a dealership, it's likely there's very minimal to no on site parking. These residents likely bike and take transit as it's in DC, so, minimal impact on traffic

It's also weird random people have so much say in these sorts of things. A doctor is performing brain surgery when all of a sudden some guy off the street barge into the room and starts telling the doctor what to do, and everyone just lets him. That's what it feels like
