Any chance you could use my licence fee in a slightly better way than having 2 people in a media review that haven’t got a clue what they are talking about?
@BBCNews
I see Scottish education is getting a hammering. As a teacher I find this pretty insulting & frankly being used as a sound bite. Of course there is room for improvement but everyday I see excellent examples of learning & teaching. Less of the lazy tropes please.
#bbcqt
This analysis is so unfair on me and my fellow teachers
@Douglas4Moray
. In these difficult times during a pandemic we are working with pupils and parents to provide online learning and are already planning for when we get back into class. Don’t make sound bite political points.
Children have missed out on months of proper schooling and the SNP’s remote education has been poor and patchy. A significant long-term catch-up effort is required to avoid creating a lost generation 👇
@lewis_goodall
He is standing in front of a union flag, concurs with the Tories immigration policy & is still mealy mouthed about a Gaza ceasefire…..and oh yes his party supports Brexit. Just word soup from Starmer.
Good grief this quote is so depressing & probably goes to the heart of why Scotland (especially the west coast) will struggle to progress. Just to educate “Super Ally”if you bother to read the bill it clarifies previous legislation & brings us in line with his beloved Westminster
🗣️ "I can guarantee you, next Sunday at Ibrox, I, along with 48,000 will be committing a breach of that hate bill."
Ally McCoist slams Scotland's controversial new hate crime laws ahead of Rangers vs Celtic

I have an issue with this as many times she has stated her opinion on the constitutional future of Scotland. I can’t see in anyway how this person can be seen “impartial” going forward which I believe the BBC charter still points towards, or maybe I’m wrong
@BBCScotland
?
Data from Traffic Scotland and transport operators has revealed no rise in the number of travellers heading south of the border to celebrate the New Year despite harsher rules being enforced on Scottish hospitality.
@realDonaldTrump
I can assure you, as someone that lives in the Aberdeen area where the course was built, this bares no relation to what actually happened!
Will only give it more publicity which is a good thing. Keep wearing it Pep. Establishments supporting each other, what a surprise.

@EmilyThornberry
reading your bio it seems I joined & campaigned for Labour before you joined. I’ve had a journey like many Scots away from Labour to wanting a progressive, inclusive independent Scotland. This sort of rhetoric from you just confirms why I was right!
#soundbites
Look I’ve been going to Pittodrie for over 40 years so I don’t say this lightly. This is absolutely unacceptable from
@AberdeenFC
at a time when so many fans have dug deep financially for the club & are now suffering due to the new imposed lockdown.
@CormackDavie
Funny that. I live about half a mile from where you stood and all the folk around me can talk about is the
#BrexitShambles
currently at Westminster. Amazing that.🤔
The morning after & still angry &,to be honest, a bit embarrassed by yesterday’s tactics. The players must be upset how little belief Goodwin had in them as footballers. Different times but this clip comes to mind right now.
I hope people are noticing and don’t forget how desperate the
@ScotTories
&
@scottishlabour
have been to politicise the new lockdown imposed on my city. No interest in solutions. Only interested in political gain.

@paulhutcheon
This enquiry is supposed to be about gathering evidence to help improve our response for any future pandemic not who Jackie Bailie wants sacked for political reasons.
@bbckirstenc
I received anti Scottish remarks when I went to Newcastle University back in the 80s but I never at any point blamed Newcastle, England or any political party. I blamed the ignorance of the individual that made the comments.
@ScotlandSky
I take it the stonewall penalty for Aberdeen in the first half that wasn’t given was first on the agenda?! Unbelievable entitlement from that club!
@Sandeshgulhane
I’ve just seen 3 of your posts where you are walking about indoors for a considerable amount of time without a mask. Yes I am now being dragged into whataboutery but really? Come on.
@STVNews
Scotland can’t have a deficit as it is only in charge of 30% of its own tax revenue & can’t borrow. Also oil & gas extracted from the North Sea goes into the global market and any tax from its sale goes to the UK exchequer.
@TheIFS
So Cummings gave him a sheet of paper 10 minutes before full of simplistic sound bites with no substance. Boris basically saying I and my fellow teachers & doctors & nurses are doing a crap job. Cheers 🤷♂️

are you really saying your campaign & intense interest is nothing to do with the union. You were on a hour long blog discussing tactics with the Scottish Conservative leader last week. 🤷♂️

For goodness sake Mandy this is hugely disappointing. We as teachers have done nothing else but tried to innovate and be creative with online learning. We want every pupil back but in a safe & properly organised educational environment. 1/2
This photo is fantastic. Gasometer, half time scoreboard, old TV gantry, fantastic kits, packed South Terrace, great players including

This is great snapshot of when we were officially kings of Europe. I was so lucky as a kids to see it. Explaining this to my 10 year old is interesting! Celtic at 11. Dundee Utd also at No 14!

Scottish Seafood Association chief Jimmy Buchan backed Brexit but now he thinks it’s an opportunity missed:
‘Obviously the landscape has changed. To me Brexit possibly did not deliver all that we wished for.’
@lisanandy
Look if you get caught out using a sound bite devised by your advisors that wasn’t thought through, and indeed was factually incorrect, the best thing to do is to surely roll back not double down and crank up the hostility? Maybe ask Catalonians about the socialist government. 🤷♂️
@AlexSalmond
The Scottish Parliament democratically passed the bill with cross party support. Alba democratically did not manage to gain any seats in that parliament. I would think a supporter of Scottish independence would try to defend the powers of its parliament?
@RadioClydeNews
@HumzaYousaf
@jackfostr
A plea to all media to stop asking this ridiculous question. Scotland has its own team. You wouldn’t ask a Dane if they supported Sweden. Are you taking a flight over to Lisbon to see if they are cheering on their neighbours?
You’ve got to hand it to
@ScotNational
they got criticism for what I personally saw as very funny banter, but what an impact. On the lap of the winning manager! 😂
You know I try to think there is no bias in Scottish football so can someone tell me why Kent is allowed to right hook Scales & not be sent off. Killie’s non penalty yesterday?!

@NicolaSturgeon
Can I ask you, as a teacher, to seriously risk assess every consequence to pupils, parents, communities, teachers & other school staff before there is a relaxing of the lockdown in reference to schools. Social distancing in class,testing, contact tracing,underlying health issues?
We in Aberdeen will suffer the most economically in the UK due to Brexit. My local MP seems to want to revel in the fact that he campaigned vigorously for it. Ideology over serving his constituents.

I live in a city that LABOUR kept the SNP out of power by FORMING a COALITION with the TORIES in 2017 which was....2 YEARS AGO...just saying 🤔
#selective
@RealStephenKerr
It’s called humanity mate. I know it’s difficult for you to understand as the Tories are in full culture war politics mode in the run up to the election next year. Maybe we could ask Michelle Mone for some of the £220 mill she took from the taxpayer?
Also are you being ironic when you talk about Carla Ponsati's arrest? Surely you are against it on principle as it was administered due to the European Arrest Warrent, something you and your fellow Brexiteers don't want to be any part of?
@BBCSportsound
Look, as an Aberdeen fan Willie is of course a hero but he is not a Covid expert and is completely wide of the mark here. Large crowds is not just about fans in stadiums it’s about how they get to & leave that stadium. 764 new cases, 4 deaths today. I love the game. 1/1
@kmckenna63
So from what I remember most folk were happy with the FM during the pandemic? I think you should be honest & admit the Sunday Mail & your contempt is politically driven? Surely the the biggest story is the split between Sarwar & Starmer over the ceasefire?
I can imagine this tackle by Jack Baldwin would be deemed “frivolous” by
@ScottishFA
Oh yes for folk not in the know the guy in the white shirt gets the 4 game ban. 🤔
Feels like a big day for the Dons today. Would love us to make a statement at Ibrox this afternoon. If the players are looking for inspiration then look no further than the confidence, power, desire & technical ability shown by Mr Jess here.

Robert... her performance and rhetoric on Scottish politics was both ignorant and unbecoming of any future leader of a political party.
@BBCNewsnight
@D_G_Alexander
The Labour Party support the ending of freedom of movement. They believe in International socialism that ends in Dover. I left his party to join a party that was inclusive, progressive, outward looking & internationalist. The SNP is all that. His Labour Party is not.
@JohnSwinney
I’m an EIS member and I’m really disappointed the council has rejected this. The offer in the current climate is good. We should accept and then get onto the issue of workload in a meaningful, constructive way.
@LesleyRiddoch
Thank goodness the
@scotgov
are taking a different line. It’s very hard for us dedicated teachers to watch this. We care a lot about our pupils. We are working hard online and we know it’s not the same. However we can’t go back until safety of pupils, parents & us is organised.
@johnpilger
A NATO country was never going to attack Russia. Why would it?! It’s like you’ve gone from being an award winning investigative journalist to a tea boy for RT News?!
@FraserNelson
I think you’ll find a country can’t have a “deficit” if it is not in control of 70% of taxation & 80% of welfare spending, has limited borrowing powers & does not influence a considerable percentage of what the money is spent on eg reserved areas.
Corbyn and Labour go on about so called "narrow nationslism" well let's see if he demands from his "socialist Spanish comrade" the immediate release of Catalan political prisoners whose only crime is trying further democracy...or,as I suspect, is he now a fraud?
#Catalonia
Congratulations to Pedro Sánchez of

on becoming Prime Minister of Spain.
We look forward to a socialist government leading progressive forces in Spain to reconnect with the grassroots, reduce inequality and support the victims of austerity.
@AberdeenFC
Really? For me using a disingenuous loophole to not do something is a really poor look. That’s all I’ll say. Folk will disagree. Love the club but can’t hide my disappointment.
@AberdeenFC
Sorry but disappointed in this. I would like us to concentrate on from March onwards when there has been a significant roll out of the vaccine & August when we will hopefully have full crowds. Love the club, me & my son hugely miss Pittodrie but you don’t speak for me on this.
@NeilMackay
I’m afraid the picture you paint on how history is taught & marked is far from reality. Yes teachers are guided by the course specifications but we have the flexibility to create a curriculum that teaches about Scotland,UK & the wider world.Certainly it is not “dressed in a kilt”
@pressjournal
This is just embarrassing. Can we please get back to serious politics. Please don’t think the vast majority of Aberdonians want anything to do with this charade.
@54Lamb
@Jo_Coburn
Just seen it. Embarrassing from the producers. If the BBC are going to continually talk about “impartiality” then they need to walk the walk. It’s as if they didn’t think anyone living in Scotland was going to see it?
Look. It’s a big word to call someone but Beaton is a cheat. What is the point? Free kick & penalty that led to the Rangers goals were ridiculous!

I was on a zoom call with a teacher in Germany. As everyone knows they are ahead of us in the virus cycle. They are having children in school 1/2 days a week. In August a full return only if science allows. I see no difference to our plan. 2/2
