Shortly after Knoblauch got hired, he broke the rest of the season into 8 game segments and challenged his team go at least 5-3 in each. The Kraken game finished off the 5th such segment. Oilers have gone 8-0, 5-3, 8-0, 5-3, 5-3.

This is a Ken Holland appreciation post for the acquisitions of Zach Hyman and Mattias Ekholm which have made this team better than what we were before their arrival.
Skinner is 4th in the NHL in wins and 6th in quality starts.
Let's in a goal on the 4th shot.
"Imagine if we had a legit starting goalie"
"If only we could get some goaltending"
"Just another need not addressed by Holland"
New to being an Oiler fan?
When we score, celebrate that player and exclaim how lucky we are to have him.
When we get scored against, pick a player to blame it on and question why he's even in the lineup and blame the GM for not finding an upgrade.
Hope that helps.
Why is everyone mad at Vegas? They're not doing anything wrong. They are taking advantage of a flawed LTIR system. That's a league thing, not a Vegas thing.
Yesterday I got to meet one of my all time hockey heroes, Glenn Hall. It was one of the ultimate highlight moments of my life. These goaltending legends of the no mask era were superheroes to me and Hall was one of the best of all time.
Hey
@AndrewBerkshire
, Hyman just scored the OT winner, and his 200th goal, with that silver spoon of his. To the untrained eye, it looked like he worked for it but we know better, right? It was pretty much handed to him like everything else has been.
"Why is Ceci in the lineup?"
"If I don't see Stecher in next game, this coach is stupid"
"Henrique in the top 6? Seriously?"
"Sit Nurse already! Bench him!"
"No Gagner again? What is Knoblauch thinking?"
"We play 97 & 29 together too much"
"We don't play 97 & 29 together enough "
On November 12th Kris Knoblauch was named

Head Coach EDM was 31st overall with a 3-9-1 record.
Under Knoblauch:

PP%: 26.9 (3rd)
PK%: 81.7 (7th)
I hate to break this to a lot of you but this wasn't game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. Yeah, it was a shitty loss but these type of losses have been the anomaly and not the norm.
"How is Ceci still in over Stecher? Ceci sucks. Terrible decision."
The armchair coaches questioning the actual coach who helped lead us from 31st to actually having a shot at winning the division.
@theTonyFerrari
Reading between the lines perhaps? Maybe he's saying that the fans and media don't make the hockey decisions for the team. Transactions happen regardless of fan or media opinions. He never referenced winning at all costs. But yes, you go ahead and speak for him.

The initial concept for the thin blue line was a symbol for the police being the line which keeps society from descending into violent chaos. The blue referred to the colour of the uniforms of many police depts. White nationalists began to bastardize the symbol in 2017.

What about all the eggs the Canucks laid on the ice last night? Were they free range or did they come from chicken slave camps? No cows were hurt for the beef we threw. Just butchered. FREE THE BC CHICKENS!!!

This happened 12 times alone in the past year:
Derek Grant, Vinnie Hinostroza, Scott Wedgewood, Lucas Wallmark, Patrick Marleau, Matt Nieto, Michael Hutchinson, Carl Soderberg, Sami Vatanen, Paul Stastny, Ryan Dzingel, Patrik Nemeth.

Thanks Justin. We're trying to keep it low key for now which is why I only posted this on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and put up posters around the city.
@AHockey1993
His .33 goals per game average is on par for his career average of .35. He's having his 10th 20 goal season. He's routinely been a streaky scorer throughout his career. And yes he hits. He leads all Oilers with 210. That's 77 more than the next guy, Nurse.
@hockey_samurai
In 2005-06, Fernando Pisani scored 18 goals in 80 games (.23 goals per game) for the Oilers. Then in the playoffs, he scored 14 goals in 24 games (.58 GPG), a 47 goal season pace.

Wow! How quickly the Connor McDavid hate train picked up some jumpers. Reading between the lines perhaps? Maybe he's saying that the fans and media don't make the hockey decisions for the team. Transactions happen regardless of fan or media opinions.
@johnpuck1992
Johnston has the most career points of his whole draft class including the 22 picked before him. 22 GM's passed him over but focusing on Holland being one of them fits your "Holland is the worst GM" narrative.

Connor Brown expected to be placed on the LTIR with an upper body injury. It is believed the injury occurred during his attempt to remove the vast number of monkeys that were on his back.
Wow! Down 3-1 with 40 minutes left and countless "fans" are already calling this a loss & talking about changes that need to be made for next season. How quickly forgotten are the numerous comebacks by the Oilers. I will never make fun of another team's fan base again.
Big thanks to

The refs have gone off script and mysteriously gave the Oilers a 2 man advantage when they're obviously supposed to be biased against Canadian teams. I suspect Bettman will have them shot. 🙄
Oh shit, this isn't gonna sit well with the popular narrative of the day but analytics (yes, it's just data blah blah blah) shows Ceci was our best d-man yesterday. Here's hoping he shits the bed today so we can justifying shitting on him again, right? 🙄

Finished my monthly goalie power rankings. As a goalie guy, I really enjoy researching for these, and they've made for great conversations with other hockey and/or goalie fans.

Shane Doan is one of the classiest individuals I've ever met. We had a somewhat regular interaction for about 4 years and I don't have a bad thing to say about the man.
Yeah Holland has made mistakes for sure like most GMs over time.Also traded for Ekholm. Signed Kane. Signed Perry. Got Foegele for Bear. Got Carolina to take Puljujarvi contract to give him money to trade for Ekholm.
Brown is doing great work and honestly, we don't need goals from him to keep winning the way we have been. But for his sake, I hope he's at least scoring at home.
