I think Holland not moving anyone off the roster speaks volumes to the tightness and chemistry in that room. I would have liked another top-6 winger and a top-4 dman, but at the end of the day, EDM is the team to beat in the west, IMO. I like our chances more than ever.

Debrusk likely never hits the higher goal totals Kane has, but barring injury, if he is playing with either McDavid or Draisaitl he’s a lock for 30+. Debrusk is also a terrific penalty killer and drives play 5v5, two things Kane does not do. Debrusk is also faster and younger.
Evander Kane is a better NHL player than Jake Debrusk, & I can’t believe this needs to even be said. The Oilers need to have Kane healthy going into next year, not dump him for salary cap reasons. You don’t just get rid of perennial 20+ goal scorers…
