I guess the Muhaddithun who did their public gatherings of hadith did not realize any of this. Anyways, this point is applicable to the Qur'an.
It is not uncommon to find Muslims who have a copy of the two Sahih collections or others at home. It is also not uncommon to find Muslims who have these books in searchable electronic format and apps on their phones or computers. This is not necessarily a good thing.

One could easily ask Ali Dawah:

Casually suggesting the Quran is not the word of Allah but rather that of humans. Not surprised
“You don’t trust us” would be lā ta’manunā, with two nūns. In this verse, the two nūns have been assimilated. Obviously the Qur’an doesn’t intend “don’t trust us with Joseph,” so reciters had to think of a creative way to resolve this issue.

The difference between the two, is that the latter thinks they are justified in the Mut'ah comments not knowing that Mut'ah, while an abrogated ruling, was still a thing allowed by Allah ﷻ at one point. Quite the dangerous oversight
