@WomenReadWomen A few years ago, I read a tweet from someone who said the left had no idea what they were unleashing by relaxing taboos against deviant male sexuality. That the “shame” and “prudery” they pooh-poohed were the result of centuries of hard won safeguards. I think about that a lot.

@katrosenfield A natural progression from “women have the right to determine where, when, how, and with whom they will encounter the male sex organ” becoming “a 14-year-old who doesn’t want to undress in the women’s locker room next to a woman with a penis is a bigot.”

@finngalkn Hormone replacement therapy is something females do to return to pre-menopausal levels of estrogen. Males do not go through menopause. They are not “replacing” anything. They are adding unnatural levels of a wrong sex hormone to their bodies. Males are never female.

@EBookwerm @sarahdessen Ms. Nelson did not invalidate a whole genre of fiction. She did not mention YA at all. She only mentioned Ms. Dessen.

@CarilynJohnson And if a state has to ban 30 schools, they won’t be able to hide it. What girls risk is people assuming that, as girls and women continue to stand smiling next men winning their awards, women and girls support it. Then people will shrug and move on.

@BenRothenberg @edenstanwarr “Trans” is an anti-woman movement that gives trans-identified men the power to determine how women engage in public life and what they can and cannot say. It also allows other men to join in oppressing and minimizing women, as you are doing here.

@TracycCoyle @garylfrancione A sense of self is subjective, that’s why it so often changes and is non-existent when someone is asleep or unconscious. Sex is a material reality awake, asleep, no matter how many religions or political beliefs or other cultural constructs a person cycles through.

@terftasticwoman @WomenReadWomen @peterboghossian Asked why, she said “Because it meant we probably wouldn’t be raped.” Another told of hearing the screams all night when Polish troops took their town. The Yanks and the Brits did not have a rape culture and they all hoped their towns would fall to them.

@WalkerMarcus This has such an easy rule to check it. Just remove the other person and see if it still makes sense. “This has meant so much to I” vs “This has meant so much to me.”
