@mark_carrigan @ThomsonPat Mistake to think Twitter is a medium for academic exchange. It's not, it's a madhouse, and everyone on it is mad, in both senses of word.

The first clip here is amazing (in a bad way). Of course they should have been putting pressure on Hamas. They weren’t being allowed to see the hostages anyway. In what way would Red Cross pressure make it worse? It couldn’t get any worse. Yet another international organisation that’s irrevocably damaged its reputation on the back of Jew Hatred.
🚨 REMINDER. Take a look at two clips back-to-back. 1st) Red Cross President Mirjana Spoljaric in Feb 2024 flat out refusing to EVEN TRY to put public pressure on Hamas. Her body language says it all too. 2nd) Spoljaric again, but this time more recently with the Foreign Minister of the Iranian Regime, Hamas’ masters. She bows to him. Smiling. Thanking each other. The other Red Cross executives shake hands with the regime members and smile. ** Your reminder, in 15 months, the Red Cross didn’t once visit the hostages

Does Alonso not realise we’re talking about Hamas. A terrorist death cult.
Hostage taking, in itself, is illegal. But seeing the images of released Israeli hostages, either Hamas was unable to treat them properly, and so should have immediately released them, or they deliberately mistreated them, which becomes an additional illegality.

@bendreyfuss @WeWillRD Of course you do. But then your argument based on adults being free to do what they want falls apart. You’re for freedom of choice, just selectively so. Who determines which selections are admissible? Well you of course.

These people have the logical reasoning skills of gnats. When the hostages come out looking healthy and well fed they’ll say “look how well we looked after them”, and when they come out looking ill, frail, and having lost weight it’s “all Israel’s fault because they wasn’t enough food”.
Who starved Gaza? 🤔 Who would’ve guessed that Israel cutting “food, water, electricity & fuel from Gaza” would starve the hostages as well & not just the general population? Did Netanyahu & Gallant seriously think Israeli hostages live off photosynthesis?

The Red Cross have been hopeless. Not quite as bad as UNRWA, but not far behind. And your point about the IDF had nothing to do with the content of the original Tweet. So go figure out why you raised it. And I’ll repeat, neither the Red Cross or the ICC need the help of the IDF to trash their reputations. How you can even look at the way Hamas have been releasing any of the hostages and try to defend it is beyond me. But frankly, I don’t care. I’m done engaging with terrorist apologists.

@CjgbVictoria @nicolelampert Who denied them access? How is the treatment of these hostages anything to do with the IDF. And the ICRC, and the ICC don’t need any help from anyone.
