The strongest argument is that it removes socioeconomic discrimination based on clothing; whether it does, I don't know, but when I was at school, I wore hand-me-downs that made it clear I was less well-off than my peers - so I doubt it.

The UK government supplies a doctoral loan that I don't have to pay back until I'm earning over a certain amount. It's enough for my tuition fees. Also, I do things for my department, like teach tutorials and caption online lectures.
Further, I get benefits due to ill health.

Crazy? Maybe.
Misinformed? Definitely.
But they're working together to oppress. We need to do something about them, like try to educate them or what have you; we need to be more organised than they are.

After 160+ years of trying to disprove it, it's like all those scientists, with their fancy doctorates, innumerable studies, and testable, repeatable, demonstrable evidence, just haven't questioned evolution enough.
It's not like this picture is outdated or anything.
