The problem with the left, and MSM in UK is they don't want to make any comparison with other developed countries, for fear people might realise that UK is actually doing quite well, by comparison.

This thread is not intended as an attack on Germany but an attempt to put current UK economic performance into perspective. A drop of UK SME’s reporting export growth from 35% to 22% does not compare to the economic turmoil the EU’s economic powerhouse is currently experiencing.

Excellent thread on cross border trading solution emerging from Irish Revenue Service in 2017, until Varadkar out an end to it, presumably at the behest of his EU masters.
With the UK seemingly intent on taking unilateral action to ensure largely unfettered trade between GB & NI, voices have again been raised suggesting that such action would necessitate a hard border on the island of Ireland in order to protect the EU SM.
