1/ The U.K. desperately needs a fiscally left wing, socially libertarian, non-identitarian (classical) liberal political party. One that protects & supports free speech. It can be complemented with a right wing version of the same. The two should be in conversation constantly.

@Seanchuckle Calling someone an idiot doesn’t make it so. But this isn’t really true. Under capitalism, nobody is forced to work somewhere where they don’t want to. Under communism, this is unavoidable unless you think food, sanitation, irrigation, water systems, all grow on trees?

@and_furiouser @gee_skippy I have to say all of this “I left so&so” malarkey is perplexing to me; it implies group think. I agreed with some of what the IDW lot said then & continue to agree with some of it (but less) now. I don’t really understand this whole line of thinking.

Only in the west do people not understand how logical principles work. If the principle “do not judge someone by the colour of their skin or stereotype on this basis” is correct (& it is, logically), then that is applied consistently. Ideology has warped western minds.
Only in the fucking UK could they put a brown woman on trial for calling a white cop white, and then have the gall to suggest it was the same as a white person calling a black cop black. No Racism is not symmetrical because racial power is not symmetrical.

@jordanox4 @W1ggySmalls @danwootton I have no real opinion on his “guilt” (we have no way of knowing, as it’s people’s word against his), but my issue is with the fact he has no way of defending himself. He’s not been accused of anything illegal so isn’t being taken to court, so it’s public judge & jury again
