For all of you partisan politics types out there - ask yourself why you let politicians that don't care about you live in your head rent free - do you honestly think AOC or Trump or Harris or Biden or Bush or Obama are going to give a damn if you died tomorrow? Stay out of each

I am shocked and disappointed by the number of anti-Semites surfacing in the past week. I am not Jewish, I am Christian, but you can not simultaneously hate the Jews and Love their King.

The russians didn't move fuel in until the 6th (by train), and their Achilles heel here is supply lines. Their progress stops when the supplies of fuel are low. I am honestly surprised that hasn't been a prioritized focus area - break the tracks and break their backs

Well, speaking as someone that is a libertarian leaning Independent, I have dropped NPR over the last 15 years. Sad, I used to enjoy some of the "driveway moments" but it has gone so far left as to be un-listenable. Gives the distinct feel of a college radio station being run by

It is portrayed that way by the pop-culture fetishists of the coasts, but the truth is really quite different. Covid migrations bear that out, as does the significant volume of innovation that comes from the midwest/heartland and has done so for the last century and change

A Toby Keith fun fact - he is less known for launching the career of another artist. A 15 year old (at the time) young girl in Nashville that he signed to his new label and published her first record. That artist’s name - Taylor Swift

the size of the "something really bad" correlates directly to the size of the ego and id that has to be overcome to find faith. Some find it easily, some are a bit harder headed, some never do because of pride

I have cut several "Never Trumpers" out of my life entirely (and I didn't even vote for the guy) for the simple reason that their behavior demonstrated a personality flaw I want nothing to do with. I find them to be far worse people than the dedicated Trump fans.

True, but with caveats. Caveat 1 - In 1775, the currency would have been the English Penny, not the cent (US and didn't exist yet), and caveat 2. 1 English pound in 1775 has inflated to roughly 133 English pounds today. That works out to a modern day equivalent of around 4 pounds

The libraries are damned near empty at this point - pretty much everyone under 30 reads online anymore. As far as them converting them to something else, now you know how I felt when they did the same damned thing to shop classes 30 years ago. Try to find Auto shop or metal shop
